relaxing getaway 1/23/2006

I had a gift certificate and I was hesitant to go after reading some of the negative reviews. I totally disagree with them. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The masseuse was skilled, friendly and professional. The same thing for the facialist. The facilities were clean and tranquil. I would definitely return to the spa. more

Unprofessional Standards 11/16/2005

A typical corporate hotel setting with windows facing onto skyscrapers and dirty streets. I have found in other establishments heated tables, hot towels and of course warm hands. Spa Mystique offered less than usual comforts, the massage room was chilly and the therapists' hands icicles. I discovered during the massage my therapist was unable to provide adequate pressure when asked she ranged from light to painful. Mixed Opinion 3/13/2005

Spa Mystique is beautiful, that is for certain. I had a really poor facial at the Spa. I reported this to the front desk attendant, who did not seem to care, at all. The next day, I spoke to the manager on duty, she was responsive and very helpful. The scrubs are effective, not as strong as the ones in Koreatown, but good for the west side. The tranquility room is breathtakingly beautiful and offers customers a mix of fresh juices, Elixar brand tonics and comfortable seating. The steam room was strong and theraputic. Disappointed, to say the least 3/4/2005

Where shall I start? The staff greeted us with no smiles and couldn't find our reservations. We requested male therapists and didn't find out we were having female therapists until roll call (the least they could've done was told us when we checked in), at which time I received the most insincere apology I've ever heard. My masseusse was AWFUL (and I've had over 100 massages in my life), her strokes were abrupt and hands cold. The jacuzzi is as big as my home bathtub and the jets have hardly any force. The amenities are a joke - there's only 2 dressing areas and no chairs. At checkout, again, they kept us waiting for over 10 minutes because they couldn't find our names. fabulous massage 8/25/2004

I was in LA for business and badly needed a massage. The spa, itself, is very nice and spacious with a lounge (not much of a view though) and jacuzzi area. The gem is its staff. Can Anyone Smile?? 7/12/2004

I had 3 services; Lotus Body Wrap, I thought this service was very mechanical and not at all relaxing but the result was wonderful. Yin Facial was great, she explained every product that was used by my request very pampering. The massage was the best I have ever received she made sure I told her if pressure was too much or not enough; she asked about trouble spots and put a lot of focus where it was needed. I did however have a problem with the lack of friendliness from the office type employees very cold. Other guests cant seem to smile either! Pros: Massage, Facilities, Atmosphere more

Hit or Miss 2/25/2004

I had 2 services done. The 1st, Akasuri (what they are known for) The woman said ""wait, i forgot, what side should you be on?"" Then gave a very mediocre rub, that ended 10 min early. When I complained, the cashier said ""what do you want me to do about it?"" I was shocked. I did have a reflexology by someone very experienced. The spa does have a clinical feel to it. more

Very nice facilities 3/1/2003

Spa Mystique is a pretty amazing spa just for its facilities and signature treatments This is a good place if you want to have a very serene day and be taken care of. I will agree with the person below that said that the massages are not always as good as everything else but I never got black and blue from one! There are better places to go if you just want a massage but if you want to have the whole experience and you have the money to pay for it Spa Mystique is a nice way to spend a day. I also like Aqua for spa treatments and the Massage Therapy Center for massage. Pros: The best facilities, Great people, central location Cons: expensive, very, good massage but..., should be great more

lovely and relaxing 11/18/2002

Lovely environment. The women's area was one of the best I'd ever seen-lots of showers, jacuzzis, lounge chairs, saunas, and all the amenities were in abundant supply. The staff was just as wonderful as the facility. I loved the infused ice water and the special tea, it made the experience complete. more

Spa Mystique is amazing! I took a VERY Large bag of products home and use them daily. I plan on returning in the next few months. Pampering to the nth degree. You must see, touch, and smell it all.... Pros: Calm, Personalized, Life-Changing more
