EQ3 problems 4/22/2009

I think the people who posted above actually work for EQ3; they all sound the same. The store has terrible customer Service and you might end up waiting 4-9 months for your stuff instead of 4-6 weeks. The quality is very low and the furniture does not last. Great store! 10/2/2005

This is your best option if you're looking for good looking modern furniture but don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. The quality is definitely a step ahead of Ikea. They also sell original local art for those art enthusiasts. It's good stuff too, I was very impressed. Finally, the shopping experience was one of the best I've ver had in the furniture industry. You can tell that it's locally owned and operated (the people who own it are a very cool young couple). Furniture shopping can be frustrating but they do a great job making it fun. more

Modern looking furniture, good prices 9/6/2005

Eq3 has very modern looking furniture at very reasonable prices (sort of Ikea-ish, but feel somewhat less cheapm even though price is about the same). Eq3 has a well-stocked showroom with virtually anything you need to put in your new apartment. Most furniture is relatively normal looking, so should go OK with just about anything. Most of this stuff will last you only a few years, but then that's why the prices are so good. Assembly is straightforward on most packages, and Eq3 will deliver. They have a very small parking lot just north of the store. Your best bet is to go on a weekend and find street parking nearby. more

modern furniture 8/21/2005

EQ3 is a furniture store that's a cut above Ikea when it comes to quality, though prices are higher. Their style is very modern and sleek, similar to the things found at Design Within Reach but the main difference is that this store is actually affordable. Check out their selection of home accessories too, like bed sheets, picture frames, etc. Very nice stuff! more

Ikea Prices, Better Furniture. 8/15/2005

Yes, there is an alternative to Ikea. EQ3 stocks modern furniture at low prices. EQ3 is a step up in quality and style from IKEA, but the prices are still quite low. EQ3 has furniture for those with a modern sensibility. You won't find Pottery Barn type furniture here. As far as I know, EQ3 furniture is carried at a lot of furniture stores, but there are only two standalone showrooms. One showroom is located in SOMA on 9th Street (the furniture district) and there's a small parking lot next door that's free. There's also plenty of street parking. more
