We ordered our 10 year anniversary cake from here - we were able to sample different cakes/fillings which really helped us in ordering a really nice cake that did not cost an arm ...

Dissapointed. 5/1/2008

When I first walked in the pattisserie it looked quaint and cutsie with teapots and vintage victorian decor... adorable. Except for the scent of the room which smells like processed oil and not appetizing in the least. \r \r I ordered a box of 3 different kinds of desserts to take back with me to work and be shared among my co-workers in an informal taste test and all 6 people were highly displeased including myself. \r \r The chocolate layer cake was so dry in fact that it tasted like it had been sitting out for days not hours. And who knows maybe it tasted find if I could only get past the dryness. I couldn't bring myself to finishing it. \r \r The raspberry filled jellyroll patry tasted like regular store bought jam, no wow factor. Again it tasted old and stale but what's worst is that it had a very greesy texture to the frosting/icing.. nothing deliciously creamy about it. Also it left me with an unpleasant after taste. Not good. Truthfully this one was everyone's least favorite of all. It was very oily. \r \r The Bavarian custard filled cone/roll was probably the best of all three. But honestly it was mediocre at best. It was nothing I would want to serve. \r \r I would definitely not go to this bakery again. I was very displeased. The name Pattiserie Boulangerie was misleading. What good is a dessert that looks beautiful but tastes awful?\r \r As an event planner, I would most certainly not recommend this to any of my clients. Nor will I be serving it at any of my parties and events. \r Pros: Cute Decor and Friendly Staff Cons: Quality of Pastries was awful. more
