You've gotta love the selection! 7/13/2006

My kids thought they walked into heaven the first time I brought them here. They're both open minded foodies who love to try new things. Their favorite is the Afghani food with the chicken kebobs and tofu curry. The fact that everyone pretty much shoves samples in your face doesn't hurt in their eyes either. Since there are steam tables everywhere, you can have your food within a matter of minutes. My personal favorite has to be the gyros. They pack a ton of gyro meat into a pita with fresh veggies and yogurt sauce and the fries there are almost always perfectly crisp. Don't go there expecting gourmet food, but do go there for the experience! Pros: quick, cheap, great selection Cons: some places are cash only, can be hard to find seating during weekday lunches more

Food from around the world 9/8/2005

So many nations represented under one roof, in a food court style - where the excellent food is only surpassed by the incredibly low price. Pros: great selection, cheap, great food Cons: busy more

Great, inexpensive food court! 7/3/2002

As a graduate student at Cal, I don't have that much spare cash to go around. So, the Public Market is perfect for good food at low cost. The food court has an excellent variety of cuisines to choose from: French (crepes), Chinese, East Indian, Italian, American, Afghanastani, and so on. There is a movie theater, pool hall, and Borders w/in the same complex, so its a great place to go w/ friends. Pros: inexpensive, great value, excellent variety more
