I'm so thankful for Emerald City Emergency Clinic and Dr Carrigan! I've been to Emerald City Emergency a few times with cat and dog. They have always been compassionate and thorough. The prices are actually very reasonable for emergency level of care. The last visit was with Dr. Cathy Carrigan. Both Dr Carrigan and the front office staff communicated consistently about next steps. I really appreciated that she took the time to explain & discuss options for treatment. They were also very patient with my furrbaby. They coordinated with my regular vet promptly and Dr. Carrigan helped me to make educated decisions about the treatments. more

They are so great. Really empathetic and efficient. Very clean and professional. The unfortunate times I've had to bring my little ones here the vets and front desk staff are so kind and educated. Thank you guys! more

Super friendly staff that goes above and beyond with their time and attention, in person and by phone. These are gentle, capable caregivers -- perfect for our sweet 18 year old cat. The pricing seemed reasonable to us, especially considering it was emergency care. Thank you, Emerald City! more

We took our baby dog, Nolan here this past weekend. He was such a wonderful puppy.\r \r We were in a panic as our baby was very sick and we did not know what was going on. We arrived and the staff greeted us and were nice. Our vet was Dr. Foley and she was AMAZING! She is probably one of the best vets that I have had in a while. Our regular vet is Urban Animal, but they were not open at the time, so we had to seek care at the Emergency Clinic.\r \r Dr. Foley was sure she had a diagnosis, until the radiology reports came back from the X-Rays. It revealed several masses that were potentially cancer. Our baby was in a lot of pain so we made the decision, after talking with Dr. Foley, to euthanize him. The staff made him as comfortable as possible and Dr. Foley was so compassionate and caring. She really invested time into Nolan and she cared about his well being in every way that she could. She went over everything in detail, was realistic and not trying to gouge us, and helped us explore all possible (if any) treatment options. She is a very PASSIONATE vet and AWESOME! All of his options would have prolonged his pain and agony, hence our decision. He has now crossed the rainbow bridge, and is pain free, happy, wagging his tail, and playing with butterflies! :)\r \r The staff here is so kind, compassionate, and really cares about your animals. If you have an emergency, this is definitely the place to go as they will take care of your pet and respect your pet with dignity just as they do their own. I am very thankful to the staff for helping our Nolan have a peaceful passing across the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you, Dr. Clare Foley, and the staff at Emerald City Emergency Clinic!\r \r Again, I highly recommend them for all your emergency veterinary needs! more

I am incredibly grateful to the staff at Emerald City Emergency Clinic (ECEC). I was mid-flight when my husband told me that my little boy had ripped off a toenail. Feel free to flinch...I did. Anyway, he called a bunch of nearby vets and two recommended ECEC. Without many options left and a bleeding mini dachshund, my husband hustled over.\r \r They were FANTASTIC! As soon as my husband walked through the door, they took my little boy in to be examined and cleaned up. Getting the play by play was nerve wracking! But my husband assured me that all was well. There was absolutely no wait, they informed him step by step of what they were doing, and they had my boy out quickly soon after.\r \r Now as with most people, I was also concerned with price. I have had doggy emergencies in the past and have been charged an arm and a leg, so I was hoping this was not going to be the case. Thankfully, my bill came out to less than $160. Considering he had a ripped off toenail and even ripped off some of his toe bone, I was incredibly surprised that this cost included the exam, the clean up procedure, and even his meds.\r \r I would highly recommend this place and will definitely plan to come back here should we need it. Thank you, ECEC, for making this mama feel at ease (even 30,000+ ft in the air). more

Our kitty was showing signs of a problem in his nether regions, yeowling and walking weird. It was a Saturday night and I called and spoke to a very helpful person on the phone who suggested we bring him in tonight or just wait until the next morning and call a regular vet, adding that, it would be cheaper to wait. \r \r Concerned that our cat might have a blockage, which can be deadly, we took him in. No waiting once we arrived. The kind lady told us exactly what they were going to do in the back room. About 5 min later, the dr came out and discussed what she thought the issues might be and what she wanted to test him for. She also gave me the cost up front. Her demeanor was wonderful. Very kind, thorough and complimented our cat over and over and kept apologizing for the wait. She was very cheerful and personable. \r \r Our kitty, unfortunately kept blocking, despite their efforts to unblock him. Each doctor I spoke with was patient, kind, and really took the time to answer all my questions. I never ever felt rushed. So far, our cat has been staying here for over a week. They allow visits anytime we want, so long as we give them a heads up about when we are heading over. They are upfront and honest about costs before they do anything. I'm really happy my cat is getting the best care here. more

After a traumatic fall, Emerald City Emergency Clinic became my dog's second home. They have taken such stellar care of her and been super responsive to all of my questions and concerns. Every member of their staff is absolutely top notch and treats my dog like a member of their own family. I have nothing but love for these guys. more

I came here in a bit of a panic. I usually like to read reviews of places I visit but my 11 week old puppy was coughing like a goose and I wanted him seen immediately so I went to the first and closest place.\r \r We waited for a little bit (maybe an hour) which seems totally reasonable for a walk in emergency vet. \r \r My puppy was seen by Dr. Corrigan and she was an absolute pleasure! She was very reassuring and knowledgeable. She was also super sweet with him and he absolutely loved her.\r \r I came here to write a five star review anyway but after reading some of the comments I want to say this place is NOT a money pit and does NOT take advantage of scared people. I was sitting with my puppy earlier today thinking he had distemper and was dying (he's totally fine. Googling got the best of me.) so I'm sure it's imaginable what state of worry I was in. Not only did Dr. Corrigan reccomend letting his cough run his course because a little strain of what he had is less harmful than antibiotics would be she didn't even charge me a visitation fee. Super awesome. \r \r I'm glad I went here. Thank you very much! more

This emergency vet is just what we needed. Our beloved old dog was having seizures repeatedly and we knew it was time to say goodbye. It was midnight July 13, 2017. We called one other emergency vet and they said they had a 3 hour wait. We called emerald city vet and they were very kind over the phone when we explained our situation. My husband took our dog in and the young woman who helped him was wonderful. She gave him time alone to say goodbye. When my husband was ready, she gently took our dog And wrapped him in a blanket. She told my husband that she was going to pet our dog the whole time through the whole procedure. They made a terrible thing as comfortable as possible. We really appreciate their care and availability! Thank you, Emerald City Vet! more

I've had to take my cat here multiple times for multiple reasons and I've always been so impressed with the patience and care they've had for my ,not so cooperative, pet. The veterinarians and staff have been so competent and thorough. Even when they are incredibly busy, they always manage to take the time to listen and answer all my questions. I'm so thankful they are available 24 7 because my cat never seems to have issues during business hours!!! more

My golden retriever recently had an emergency surgery. I was nothing but impressed with the staff. They were amazing with my dog and were so kind to me during the process. Every single person I dealt with at the clinic was wonderful. Thank you Emerald City for the excellent care for my dog and the kindness you showed me during this difficult time. more

They took such great care of our poor, sick kitty! They went above and beyond to make sure that we got the care that we needed, and ONLY the care that we both needed and wanted, unlike other vets that will try to sneak in charges when you're in a vulnerable position. They made sure to clearly explain everything that they wanted to do before doing it so that we knew the price going into it, and the preliminary exam fee, even if we had chosen to back out and not receive treatment, was way more reasonable than I expected for an emergency visit. The staff was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and all around awesome. Plus, my cat loved them! Honestly makes me wish they could be our regular vet too, but alas! They only do emergency care. more

The emergency clinic was clean and receptionist friendly. Since the clinic is for emergencies, the waiting period was about an hour before the dog was seen. The vet on call was thorough and very professional. We discussed all options before deciding what care the dog needed. more

I don't recall the veterinary tech that was on duty while I was in with my chocolate eating pug last night, but she made me feel at ease. She was busy, but took the time to explain everything to me and to help me feel a little better about the situation. She is the perfect person for that kind of job. I wish I had your name. Thank you!!! more
