I went in for a simple trim and came out with a mess that will probably take me a year to grow out. I was extremely clear to the stylist about what I wanted, but she was incapable...

Great Cut, Color & Attitude 2/12/2008

Elements was recommended to me by a family member who is a regular client of theirs [I was worried about getting an appt. but I called in the morning and got one, same day, on a Saturday]. Gabrielle did a wonderful job on my hair-- she highlighted and toned my darker hair with minimal damage and it came out beautifully (she also have me a great new cut- just what i wanted!). I have gotten numerous compliments on it & will continue to go back to Gabby & Elements Studio. The price is a little steeper than some other salons in Brooklyn, but the quality is that of a top Manhattan salon...very, very worth it. Pros: Able to accomodate a last minute appointment! Vincent is wonderful 11/24/2007

I recommend Vincent. I met him earlier this year when he was working at another salon in the area. His work is excellent. I have fine hair and he cuts it in a way that makes it look full. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair in my life. I travel from Queens to Brooklyn just for him! And let me add that he is a really nice person. Pros: Vincent is excellent. The receptionists are really nice. more

Great color, cut and styling 10/3/2007

Gabrielle has been styling and coloring my hair for the past year. Her ability to create color and symmetry to conform to your face shape and skin tone, is exceptional. Gabrielle's gift brings her talent to a whole other level of hairstyling. The new location on 301 3rd street and 4th ave is exceptionally beautiful and welcoming. Christine has been cutting my hair since 1999. She's a great hair stylist with a great down to earth personality. She'll go out of her way to make you feel comfortable and satisfied. Great Color! 8/15/2007

I've been seeing Gabriel since I moved to PS in February. Her color skills are wonderful! I find the prices are a little inflated for the area - I'm still paying about what I payed when living in Manhattan. But the color treatments are superior so I feel the value. Pros: Great Color more

Greatest colorist 7/30/2007

Robert Santana of Elements is a master colorist, the best I have ever had working on my hair (in Brooklyn or Manhattan), which is not surprising as he travels the world educating other colorists. At Elements, I am treated with respect, professionalism and hospitality. The entire staff is a reflection of the salon's commitment to the highest standards. They use the finest products and there is no pretentiousness. It is all about making my hair look healthy and attractive. The services are not inexpensive, but I have learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. The proof of Element's value is that when I get my hair done, I always get compliments regards both the style and color. I could not recommend them more highly. They are moving to a new location, only a block away; and the new salon looks awesome. Pros: quality and service Cons: they are so popular that appointments can be hard to get more

Love Them All 7/25/2007

If you are looking to walk out of a salon looking and feeling like a celebrity than Elements Hair Studio is the place. The staff at Elements are always welcoming and friendly. From the beginning of your experience you get pampered. Wanda is amazing... she washes your hair and gives you a massage by the time she has finished she has put you to sleep...yes that relaxing! Then I sit in Roberts chair and the master goes to work, I don't have to tell him much and he already knows what color/cut/style works best for you. Can't forget to thank Steve he also know's how to set my hair to my liking. Overall if you have not already gotten the picture I am one very statisfied customer. Price's are reasonable and you walk out feeling great and ready to party. The most imporant accessory is your Hair!!! Love all you guys in Elements! more

Best Doo Every time 7/24/2007

I get stopped on the street and asked where I get my hair cut and/or colored.\r Seriously! Every time!\r Robert treats his clients and staff with the utmost respect which you can feel when you walk in. I've had my hair done there for years and can't imagine what I'd do if I moved! Pros: it's very comfortable and welcoming. Cons: sometimes hard to get an appt. but that's not really a con. more

I have been getting my hair done at Elements since they opened. Robert has been my hairstylist for at least 10 years. Robert has known me since I was a teenager. He's kind of watched me grow up. I trust his ideas for my hair. I've gone through lots of different hairstyles and colors. He does an amazing job all the time. I love going to the the salon and chatting with the staff. Steve always keeps me laughing. We chat about everything while he styles my hair. I have tried others in the past but no one compares to the staff at Elements.Very professional and dedicated to their customers. I have 3 chilrdren so when I go to the salon I come home nice and relaxed. more

Best Hair Salon in Park Slope! 7/15/2007

I?ve lived in Park Slope my whole life and have tried many of the salons in the neighborhood and nothing comes close to the quality and service that you get at Elements. I been going to Robert for four years, and he has been the only stylist that can keep my hair blonde and looking great. I have very dark brown hair with natural red highlights, other stylist have tried to get me light blonde but my red highlights would always come out. Not with Robert, my hair looks awesome and he always gives me an awesome cut, side bangs, layers, you name it he can do it. The atmosphere is very comfortable and you feel like you are surrounded by friends that do everything to make you feel at home. There is no rush when Robert is taking care of you, he dedicates the entire time that he is working on your hair to you. I have and always will recommend everyone I know to go to Robert. Element?s is the best hair salon in Park Slope and I will never go anywhere else, I was there Saturday and my hair looks great I have no complaints and never have. Pros: Great Service more

Will NEVER go anywhere else 7/12/2007

I have been going to Elements for the past 4 years or so. As a guy, I wasn't sure if this was the place for me, but man they all ROCK. Juno has been cutting my hair since day 1 and I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than him. As I get older, he lets me know how the thinning troops are doing and assures me that he will let me know when it is time to do something about it. That's honesty and I love him for it. They are always accommodating at the salon to fit me in and when you get there, you feel like you are with friends. They are worth every penny! Pros: Staff more

The staff at Elements is always very professional and courteous, yet super friendly... the atmosphere is warm, comfortable and inviting, just like being around friends you have had for years. The service is impeccable and every stylist exhibits a true art form. The reception staff is the best and always go out of their way to make you feel at home while you are there. I love this place and recommend it every chance I get! more

Elements Hair Salon 6/27/2007

Why go to Manhattan when Elements is in your neighborhood. I've had Christine for the p years and she is exceptionally talented. Her cuts are always excellent but she really excels at coloring. She takes her time and isn't interested in rushing you in and out of the chair. She listens to what you want and doesn't impose her own desires on you. In addition, she isn't a slave to fashion. But as I said before, it's in her eye for color that she really can't be beat. She's a terrific beautician and a lovely person. My only hesitation in writing this review is that she'll become so popular I won't be able to get an appointment. Pros: Good service, fine value. Friendly staff. Cons: Park Slope is hard to park in but the salon is near several train stations. more

Going to elements hair studio has been a great opportunity every time, Gabby has done my hair as well as Robert and Steve and I felt fantastic every time I walked out their door. They have helped me maintian my hair so i could be healthy and beautiful.I thank them very much. I highly recomemned Elements Hair Studio and all the hair dressers in in it! more

Not Just a Hair Studio, but home... 6/23/2007

Not only do you get expert color,cut and style, but a friendly down to earth staff...I have been a client for over 3 years and will not let any other hair studio touch my HAIR! I have NEVER been disappointed. Services and fees well within the expertise of the stylist. Friendly, family atmosphere from the moment you walk in to the time you leave. Don't believe what they tell you on the phone 5/6/2007

I got a GREAT hair style. Amazing color and great straighten. My problem is with the management and cost.\r \r BUT when I called, they quoted me one price and then my bill came to about twice that when I was in the store. After discussing the situation with the manager, they were inflexible and would not honor the price quoted on the phone. My stylist was wonderful, but the receptionist and manager were very rude. \r \r Bottom line - this is a great place for your hair, but not so much for your wallet.
