I took my expensive white coat to the cleaners, because I had gotten it dirty while scraping my windshield one morning. The dirt was only on the bottom of the coat. I picked up my coat a week later, and the lady said that the stains came out. I got it home and realized that all of the seams were discolored and there was an obvious mark on the back of the coat – all caused by the cleaning/pressing. I took it back, and she said she would fix it. I went to pick it up this morning, and I insisted on inspecting the coat while in the store. She then showed me the sleeve and said that it was the only part she couldn’t fix. There is a big (larger than a CD- sized) blue stain on the coat, which I believe was caused by some sort of cleaning solvent. I said that wasn’t there when I brought the coat to her. She said it was and that she saw it when I first brought it in. I know she’s lying because when I took the coat home the first time, my boyfriend and I inspected the whole coat so I could tell her what parts needed to be fixed. I am sure I would have noticed a blue spot, and I would never come into contact with blue liquids while wearing a dress coat. She yelled in my face the whole time about how it’s my fault not hers and then she pretended to not speak English when I tried to reason with her. I was a loyal customer to this cleaners, but I will never return.
