El Taco Mexicano looks like and is a "standard, solid Mexican restaurant" (authentic). Low on decor, it has many tables, but the ambience is not what you go for. You go for the food, which, unfortunately isn't great. It's "solid, authentic Mexican" food, but it just falls short of anything to write home about.
The Carnitas are too greasy (dripping fat), which is common, but it was a big turn-off. The Al Pastor was a bit too dry and actually *light* on spice (which, traditionally it's a lot more spicy and flavorful).
On the plus side, they serve Menudo every day(!), and serve real Birria (goat) every day as well. Also, their prices are pretty good. There are better places, to go, but it's certainly not "bad" at all.
