Yeah the service is a little off, the take-out packaging is leaky, and yeah, no one speaks english but hey consider the neighborhood! English-speakers are nearly a minority. But the food is delicious. If you're a tourist in the area I recommend just stopping by and eating in the restaurant, it's a nice stereotypical LA-Mexican diner. more

But here at El Puerto Escondido, the specials of the house are the seafood dishes. Some of menu favorites are: shrimp cocktail, the mojo de ajo, shrimp ceviche, and plenty of oysters. Try the "Happy" Oysters, which are topped with red onion, cilantro, and shrimp.
