Wow this place is great. It is a place to get some amazing chicken. When you walk in you don’t have many options. They will ask what kikd of chicken you want and if you want both sides: French fries and cole slaw. You can get ¼, ½, and whole chickens here. They give everyone some great dipping sauces with their order. more

I’m not a big fan of this place. It is only chicken. The inside of the place is rather bleak. It is cafeteria style and the service is kind of rude at times. On the plus side the chicken is very moist and inexpensive. You can get an entire chicken here for less than ten dollars. more

Amazing. This place is about chicken and only chicken. They serve nothing else, which isn’t a problem since it is the best chicken I’ve ever had. They serve their chicken with fries and cole slaw. You really have no other options. This isn’t a bad thing but I’m just warning you. more

This place makes the best chicken I have ever had. I’m not really sure exactly how they prepare their chicken but I think it is roasted over hot coals. It is gradually cooked to perfect. The dining area is not fancy here because it is a very casual place that sells only one thing. At least they did it well. more

This place is very good. The dining area is like a cafeteria. It could be cleaner but I rarely eat in this section. I prefer taking my food home with me. The only thing they have here is chicken and sides. This chicken is perfectly prepared every time. They really know what they are doing here. more

This is a place to get the best chicken I have ever tried. It really is that good. This is a very inexpensive place. They only serve chicken. You can take it out or dine in the nondescript cafeteria style-dining hall. You have the option of getting both fries and cole slaw with your chicken. That is it. Chicken, fries and cole slaw but they really prepare everything so well. more

The best 4/5/2006

They make some of the best chicken I have ever tasted. This restaurant is located off Wilson Boulevard between the Calrendon and Ballston metro stops. There is a lot of construction in this area so parking is sometimes a pain. The chicken here is served with french fries and cole slaw. The dipping sauces are great but and I even get an extra few because they go quickly. more

Agreed, Best chicken 4/4/2006

The location at Wheaton often has lines out the door. It is amazing how good the chicken is. It comes with two different sauces, a green and a creamy sauce. But most of the flavor comes from the marinade, which I've heard is a closely guarded secret. Unlike most roast or fried chickens, where the flavor is mostly near the skin, the marinade penetrates deep into the core of the meat. Did I mention that the chicken roasted over charcoal? It really makes a lot of difference as compared to the electric rotisseries. more

This place clearly has the best chicken in town. This could be the best food deal in Arlington. You can either eat in or take out your order. You can get a great order of chicken and fries for under $8.00. The parking is sometimes a pain because there is some construction nearby that never seems to be completed. more

Best chicken in the area. 1/16/2006

El Pollo Rico has the best Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken in this area. They only serve chicken here, you don’t have a lot of options but trust me you won’t regret your order. The chicken here is so moist and tasty. They offer large fries or coleslaw as options for sides. I’m not a big fan of their coleslaw, it is a little too moist for my liking. The parking can sometimes be a hassle because the restaurant is always packed and their parking lot is small. more

Great, cheap, chicken. 10/13/2005

Chicken is basically the only thing on the menu at El Pollo Rico- but they surely know how to cook it! The place is sparsely decorated, with lots of different people (day laborers, families, students, yuppies) all sitting at plastic tables eating some of the best, most succulent, chicken around! more

The BEST Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken in the area! 8/6/2005

Yes, if you live in the DC area, you know Peruvian Chicken places here are a dime a dozen. They're on every corner it seems, and most of them have decent food at good prices. However, El Pollo Rico is The ORIGINAL. There are many imitators, but few have chicken anywhere as good as here! It's so incredibly moist, with wondeful seasonings on the skin (you HAVE to eat the skin, it would be sacrilege to throw it away!) The fries are crunchy and the coleslaw, though not homemade, is wonderful! Have a Inca Cola (tastes like bubble gum) along with your food and feel like a Peruvian for a day! more
