Mexican Fine Dining !!!! 5/12/2006

I've lost count on how many times our family have chosen El Charro to eat at. This is a lovely family owned business and they make you feel so welcome and appreciated that you came. Here you are served in courses and you receive a lot of meal. I try not to eat all day before I go. It is well worth it to pay a little more to get such a fabulous dinnar! I heard that they are cousins to the family that owns Poncho's in New Baltimore. I love them both equally for Mexican Fine Dining! more

Upper Class Family Owned Mexican Restaurant 4/25/2006

One of my favorite places to have mexican food in this very stylish and friendly restaurant. Turns out they are cousins to the owners of Poncho's Mexican Restaurant in New Baltimore. Several different entrees to choose from and a wee bit more in price than other family restaurants. You have a couple courses so you walk away full and satisfied. Highly recommend for special occassions and those who love Mexican dishes! more

Best Mexican on the East Side! 8/16/2005

I've been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it's a wonderful, quality place. It's family friendly and upbeat. The chimichangas and soft tacos are wonderful. The margaritas are great. The chips and sauce are great to pick up and take home as a snack! This is a solid, wonderful restaurant. You can even eat outdoors in the summer! more

Fantasic Mexican Food 8/5/2005

This place is wonderful. It's one of the ORiginal of the 3 Michgan places! They have great Mexican food and large portions! Smokers, they have very small smoking sections if any in their restaurants! They actually hosted my Bridal shower in early 2005! They were great, without having a separate banquet room, they made sure that we were well taken care of and set up a section in a side room so we weren't disturbed or disturbing others! I highly recommend this restaurant for a casual meal or banquet! more
