Eilenberger's Automotive

I was fortunate - I was referred to Eilenberger's twelve years ago. I owe the longevity of my 1996 Camry with 184,000 miles to their reliable team. Aaron is my chief trouble shooter, and never makes me feel silly when I call about a problem or concern. I have confidence if Aaron says I need something done asap, it needs to be done. What's great is knowing if something can wait, he'll give me an accurate timeline so I can plan for major repairs. This morning I was on my way to work - my engine wouldn't turn over. I called Aaron, and within 20 minutes he had sent a team over to check out my battery, charge it enough to get me to the shop, change out the battery and insure there wasn't anything else to be concerned about - I was on my way to work within an hour ---and all this without an appointment. This is an extremely busy repair shop --- if you have a major repair, it will be taken care of in a timely manner --- but you will need an appointment, and patience - thus the four stars on timeliness - they're REALLY busy!!! They will give you a timeline, but will not compromise doing something correctly just to insure you get your car faster. For me, it's more than worth the wait to know I can trust my car is being repaired correctly - these guys are reliable and respectful - and still have a great sense of humor! Aaron and Paul have been my car go to guys for years - I feel fortunate to have found them. I also refer all my clients and friends to them - you'll see several other five star reviews from them! The management and staff of this automotive shop is excellent. They were very informative, explained everything they were doing to correct the condition with my car, and were extremely friendly and helpful. This was my first visit to their shop and I will be returning for any future needs. more

I have been using Eilenberger's Automotive for about 14 or 15 years. They are a local, family owned and operated business. Their prices are reasonable. The quality of service and information they give me is excellent. They will explain to me what is wrong, what needs to be fixed now, and what to look for down the road. They won't fix something that doesn't need it, but they will warn me about potential problems. They will tell me what to listen for and explain that if things go bad before I get back in to fix it, to come in immediately. You don't find somebody who warns you of the dangers of something very often, especially an automobile shop warning someone who isn't an automobile person. I have mainly come in with my business vehicle, but I have also used them for my personal vehicle as well. I am extremely satisfied with them, and have referred dozens of people to their shop. Eilenberger's is an excellent shop. They are extremely honest about what the immediate problem is and never try to "sell" you extra unnecessary services. I appreciate when they call me before they fix anything to give me an estimate of costs and services needed. Aaron and Mitch are great to work with. They know you by name and remember you the next time you visit. I believe they care about the person behind the wheel, not just making the next sale. I wouldn't take my car anywhere except Eilenberger's Automotive. We have been using them for about 2 years, after they were recommended to me by my hair dresser. There are so many times when they could have given me new brakes or other repairs, but they would tell me that I just needed it to be cleaned. They are honest and do a great job fixing the car. You do have to be patient when going there. Their mechanics are so good that everyone wants their cars fixed, so they are busy. Everyone wants their cars done right away, so sometimes they are not able to meet deadlines. However, good things come to those who wait and are patient, so your car will be fixed right. They are honest, dependable, and reliable. We recently purchased a new car, and we took several used cars to Eilenberger's to get them checked out. They would tell us if they were worth buying, or what needed to be fixed, all free of charge. I think that is a wonderful service. I highly recommend them to people I know, and they always tell me they are going to keep bringing their cars back. We had some friends visiting for an art show, and their van was having trouble. It was taking Eilenberger's a little while to pinpoint exactly what the problem was, so they offered to haul all their stuff to the art show and lend us a car! They finally fixed the problem that had been causing issues for years. My friend said their service made him wish he lived here so that he could use them as his mechanic. Aaron's customer service skills are fabulous. He has a great sense of humor and has good fact finding skills so that he can pinpoint the problem. They do great work. more

I have been going to Eilenberger's Automotive for so long, probably 10 years. They are very personable and I like the personalized experience, being able to know the person I am talking to. They have worked on all of our cars and they do a nice job of keeping the expense to a minimum, which we appreciate. The work always turns out well and they are quick to rectify anything that does not turn out the way we expect it to. We had trouble with our '01 Maxima and were aghast at the dealer quote to replace catalytic sensor parts. Eilenbergers Automotive repaired it for half the quoted dealer estimate, and it ran trouble free another 45,000. This was over 7 years ago, and we have had 3 other cars maintained by Aaron and Paul since then, without a hitch. They have been flexible, reasonable, and helpful in all matters automotive. My wife, daughter and I drive older cars. Paul and Arin have saved us hunders of dollars by extending the life of our cars through out the years. We have been a loyal customer for six years. I trust their advise, they have never tried over sold us on repairs unlike most repair shops in Overland Park. more

The worst customer service I have ever gotten from an automotive shop. My car was in by 8:00 AM and I authorized the work by 10:00 AM. No one called me to tell me the car would not be done until the next day. I called them late in the afternoon and received this information. I was told as an excuse ""you are not our only customer"". I simply explained that I would have rather had my appointment refused than to deal with my car being in the shop for two days. The ultimate response to this disagreement was that I was hung up on. I called back and spoke with the owner. Though he was nice, I simply refuse to give my business and money to a place that treats customers this way.
