Cheap Drinks 4/25/2010

Always have good drink specials, great place to catch a game or catch up with friends. The food is hit or miss, but service is always on top of things! New location on 7th street is great spot, a lot bigger than park rd location. Pros: Great Drink Specials, Daily Cons: Food hit or miss more

Good Food, Cheap Drinks, Fun Atmosphere 2/15/2010

Eds is the epitome of a neighborhood bar located in the mostly residential area of Dilworth. They have something on the menu to please just about anyone. Their burgers are great, all of their sandwiches have something to say for themselves and their newest addition ""Fried green beans"" are out of this world. The drink specials are as good as you are going to get in the city here. Almost every day you can get a domestic bottle/draft for $2, sometimes even cheaper. I know at one point they had $1.50 Coors drafts. Eds is a pretty big place but it does fill up quickly from Thurs-Sunday especially if a game is on they will be busy from 11am-close in most situations. They have plenty of televisions with various games. They have pool, juke box, checkers and darts. Friendly atmosphere, cheap drinks, good food...great recipe. Best Service Industry Discounts 10/16/2009

Monday is the tavern's service industry night and fellow foodservice people get HALF OFF food! Not to mention Mondays are the wing night and free pool! Always lots to do at Ed's like cornhole or Sapo. Awesome place to watch football on Saturdays and Sundays! Atmoshpere is super fun and love to take friends that have never been because I know Ed's will be one of their favs too! Pros: Great prices and yummy burgers! Cons: Have none more

One of the best local bars 10/12/2009

Love Ed's. I love that I can get a great meal and a good cold beer for a reasonable price. The menus extensive and the variety helps a lot since I go there so often. They have hands down the best burgers and wings in town and I love their side items. I recomend the mac and cheese or their soup du jour. Hmm, making me hungry just writing this review... Love this place. Great place to be and hang around....cool bands. great bar and bar food. I go there every 3 tuesday of the month with a bunch of friends we all gert together and owner is very accomodating to our needs and requests.....Cool sports bar. Better since partner left last years....definetelly a place I'll go back again and again.... since most people that live in charlotte are from different parts of the country it's nice to have a local spot that makes ya feel like your at home. Ed's seems to bring something special for everyone no matter where you are from. Good service, comfortable atmosphere, and c'mon have ya been in there, the staff and the crowd is usually pretty good looking. And i would have to say some of the best wings that i have found in the south. more

There Really is a ""Cheers""! 10/9/2009

This is a place where you'll feel welcome whether you're an actuary or a longshoreman. Everyone at Ed's seems to be having fun. The service is impeccable and the menu extensive. Wings, sliders, wraps and chicken fingers are highly recommended, but leave room for the apple dumplings. Pros: Didn't think there was a tavern like this down South Cons: No Yankee accents more

I never miss to visit Ed's Tavern, whenever I am in Charlotte. The food is always tasty and fresh, the drinks are generous. Terrific variety of beer on tap. The servers are friendly and efficient. Highly recommended. Pros: Great atmosphere, friendly staff Cons: None so far more

There is always something to do at Ed's - either trivia on wednesday and thursday - tailgate parties on the weekend - hell even Monday night Nacho bar! Can't beat the bartenders and service you receive either! Pros: Drink specials - atmosphere - food is top notch! Cons: none to speak of! more

Fantastic Beer Selection 10/9/2009

I thought Ed's was a great relaxing place to hang out after work and have a beer. I had the chili and sweet potato fries and they were great and the portions were large. Service was really great and friendly too. Pros: great beers on tap more
