I have been to the the econo lube and tube about ten times...for the basic oil change. Until recently i went in for one and the person working there saw my engine light was on. He said if i clean your fuel injection (70.00) if might turn it off. And well if it doesn't your due one around 30,000 miles anyway (my car was at 37,000) So i was like ok i guess so. Along with that i got a transmission flush (89.99) also a air filter change which came out to about... 230.00 So fine. But the engine light never went off which is fine cause it was never a for sure thing it would go off in the 1st place. untill i went in like 2 months later for a diagnostic test cause i had enough of the engine light being on. (my car is a 2004 kia ) the guy after checking the car,who also happen to be the owner of the place, told me the following: ""your air sensor is bad and you need a fuel injection cleaning and a air filter change. (mind you i had that done just two months ago except the ""air sensor"". So i told the guy : ""you say i need a fuel injection cleaning and air filter huh"" he said ""yeah"" so i told him ""but i got that fuel injection cleaning and air filter like two months ago...in fact yall did it"" he said "" oh in that case you don't need it"" i was thinking what a liar..... so i left the place. All the guy was doing was lying to make more money. i went to the the dealership where i purchased my car and had it checked there. he said the same thing the the guy at econo lube said. ""you need a air sensor and fuel injection cleaning"" i was like oh my god i can't belive this....and explained what happen. He said many of the ""quickie lube places"" do it wrong. So i had the dealership do the injection cleaning/air filter.... and my enging light went off. Econo lube do it wrong? who knows... all i know is after visting the dealership the engine light was finally off something the ""econo lube"" could not do but had no problem charging me for.
