I spilled coffee on my Dell Inspiron laptop. I wiped it cleaned but some of the keyboard keys are not working. I gave these guys a call and they told me to turn the computer off, remove it from the charger and remove the battery, this is to make sure that if the coffee goes thru the keyboard, it will not short the laptop and kill it completely. I brought it to them quickly. They cleaned the keyboard completely and cleaned the inside of the laptop. They told me that it was a good thing that I turned off the laptop because there were drops of coffee that made it inside the laptop. They tested the keyboard but the coffee killed the keyboard. I'm pretty computer savy, but somehow I downloaded a virus on my laptop that I couldn't get rid off, CTRL+ALT+DELETE was disabled, I kept on getting errors with registry permissions, SAFE MODE didn't work either, I couldn't even see what was running in the background. Laptop would just freeze for 15 minutes or so after the login. I was already considering just reinstalling windows, but then to restore all the programs and settings would be a nightmare, so I've decided to call a few places to see if anyone would try to fix it at the reasonable price since I didn't have a large budget.
