Service could have been a little better. 11/17/2010

After two visits, I can say I like this place. Their theme is Greek fair, but offer the standard good eats, like a nice burger or chicken salad. I dint like the fries tho...greasy and limp, but the gyro and cucumber sauce was dead on. Service gets the lowest marks...when we got there, there was one booth, and 4 table available, and all were dirty. we had to stand by our table and wait until a server noticed us...only then did she come over. Second visit, we were all but ignored. Slow to be greeted, running out of beverages, waiting for additional napkins, ect. I also think they get a lot of run off from the always stacked Thurmans, right down the street. They art known for their great burgers, but there is almost always a wait...sometimes long. I would probably go back, but its certainly not on my ""must return"" list. more

Easy St, I love you so 9/21/2010

My husband and I discovered Easy Street the way most people probably do - we went there after the wait at Thurman's was just too long and we have never looked back. We love this place and go there regularly because of the delicious food (great gyros and salads, amazing tsatsiki and hummus), laid back ambiance, friendly servers and roomy comfy booths. No matter how busy it is, there never seems to be a wait which makes the name so fitting - it's so easy! Wonderful, reasonably priced Greek food that is always accessible. And get the curly fries with your gyro, yum! PS - their motto is ""Feta makes it betta!"" :) more

My New Favorite Restaurant! 7/30/2010

Was trying to get into Thurman's down the street and fortunately for us, there was a 1 1/2 hour wait. We decided to head to Easy Street and it's one of the best decisions ever made! Of the food ordered, we voted that the calamari, french onion soup, reuben, and philly steak sandwich were the best we've ever had. No joke! And we are food snobs! Then, there was the Greek veggie pizza with gyro meat. The absolute best pizza I've ever eaten! The prices are amazing too. Can't wait to go back and have told others to go there also! Pros: Fabulous food, service & prices!!!! Cons: Parking more

Great casual dining 2/18/2010

I have been going to Easy Street for lunch for at least 5 years. The quality of the food has been consistently well above average. The french onion soup in particular is very good. The service has also been consistently solid. Highly recommend this restaurant. Pros: Food is very good and fast, good service Cons: Can get busy and crowded at meal times more

Great service even on a game day! 9/8/2009

I visited this restaurant on 9/05/09. The service was great, despite the restaurant being absolutely full, the Greek Pizza was fantastic (everyone else's food looked good, too!); I loved the tzatziki (spelling?) and olive oil as the pizza sauce. I will definitely be returning for that pizza. Pros: Awesome Greek Pizza, Cool atmosphere, Great service Cons: No parking lot (but we managed just fine) more

Great Food 6/11/2009

I hesitated going after reading a few of the older reviews, but someone that lives in the area and goes there regularly suggested I give it a try. We went and man am I glad we did. Both the food and service were great. Very friendly atmosphere. I ordered the Greek Pizza and it was delicious. Best pizza I've ever had!! We'll definitely be back. Pros: Best Greek Pizza more

Great Food....super service! 5/25/2009

The Greek chicken is to die for.........& I tried the Texmex Meatloaf last week......who would have thought...... this was also top notch. Unique decor....friendly bartenders. One of my favorite ethnic restaurants. AAAA++++ Pros: The daily specials,,,,always top notch! Cons: Parking....parking...parking! more

Easy Street Cafe 4/10/2009

Decor = the coolest. The greek food/nightly special is great. The other items are sandwichs and bar food. If you are ordering a steak/cavair = you are an idiot, and should look at your surroundings better.! Its usually busy on weekends. 4 Tv's at bar to watch diff. sports games. Be prepared to stand and have a beer while you wait if they are busy. Always order the greek food, you wont be disppointed. Pros: Local Bar W/ Food Cons: parking can be a pain at times more

I honestly know what the others are talking about. Easy st is always busy on Friday nights. The food has always been good. The owner comes in and hangs out with customers but he only sits and has drinks with family. I have been going there for years and will continue to do so. more

The best bar/greek food in German Village 2/11/2009

The place has a local, neighborhood feel. It's been a fixture in German Village for years. \r Very good greek salads, greek pizza is very rich (careful, don't overdo it!). \r Decent bar, definitely a local favorite. Pros: Neighborhood feel Cons: Food not always consistently good. Usually, good more often than not. more

I guess this place has it's good days and bad days 1/16/2009

After a recommendation went there last week. I guess the place is good or bad depending on the day. After a short wait got a table and ordered. The bad part is when the food came...there was a hair that was not mine. A hair happends but I was a little put off by the attitude, they almost acted like it was my fault or something. After some to-do they took the meal off the check. Pros: Cool Ambiance Cons: Attitude more

I would agree with JessieGV-avoid Easy Street! 1/10/2009

The food was terrible, the owner sat at table with a bunch of people and was drinking like there was no tomorrow. I went in with a friend who came in from Houston and he recommended East Street because when he lived in Columbus, he would eat there. He could not believe how bad the food was and the service was beyond poor. As my friend said ""how sad that a once fun place has turned into a loser of a place. "" The place was not busy (this was a friday) and trying to get a server to wait on us was like next to nothing. Again, the owner did nothing but drink with what appeared to be his friends or employees. \r We don't recommend you eat at Easy Street. Pros: Nothing - everything was terrible Cons: Bad food, bad service, drunk owner, poor parking more

Unfortunately, it has gone down hill 7/22/2008

The Easy Street Cafe used to be a great place to eat. The gyros and quality of the food was just wonderful. We used to be regular customers. Unfortunately it appears that things have changed. The last few times that we were in there the owner was just wasted, drunk, stupid....and the food quality was the horrid. I have no tolerance for a plate of greasy garbage, and that is exactly what the food was. The regulars have seen this as well because this spring the place has been dead. Is this place a restaurant or a hang out for drunks? Someone needs to ask the owner... There are certainly better places now to grab a bite to eat in the Village and not be insulted by disgusting food prepared by some drunk cook. Pros: Nice Pictures on the wall Cons: greasy food, drunk staff, rip off more

Authentic and wonderful food. Owner/staff will make you feel like a regular! 7/9/2008

I just got back from a wonderful trip to Greece. Although I had many lunches and dinners -only one meal was as good as the and authentic Greek food I eat at Easy. Really! Easy Street's Greek Salads, nightly specials and gyros are the best. We are lucky to be so close because we are regulars. We have eaten there pretty much weekly since they opened. With our record - I'd say we are pretty good judges of the consistency of the food and service. Friendly owner and staff that will make you feel like a regular the first time. Pros: authentic Greek food, comfortable environment, friendly staff more

great greek and american food 7/5/2006

I have been coming to Easy Street with my dad for years and have never been disappointed. Gyros are great, but my personal favorite is their Patty Melt. Weekend breakfast is a must-- omlettes served with a side of fresh pita are delicious (though coffee can be slow.) The owner always makes a point to greet diners, a real neighborhood place. Pros: breakfast, attentive owner Cons: crowded at any meal time more

User review by jalepeno 3/4/2006

The greek salad with grilled pita is the reason to go. It's a comfortable neighborhood restaurant. Service is generally friendly, but sometimes slow. Pros: comfortable Cons: average fare more

Cook needed! 7/15/2005

I've been coming here for about a year and the food and service is getting really bad. I live in German Village and I've noticed the change in cooks. Two weeks ago I ordered the Patty Melt and it didn't taste right so I asked the waitress to redo my order. I asked for the patty to be well done. I didn't know it would take 35 minutes! The waitress never came back to our table to see if there was anythign else we needed. Then last saturday I stopped in for breafast. Big mistake-the bacon wasn't crispy and the hash browns were luke warm. The grease on the plate was horrible. I don't recommend eating here-I know I'm not. Pros: n/a, n/a, n/a Cons: Bad food, Bad Service, Bad management more

Wonderful! 5/13/2005

I like right down the street from East Street, and like the other person said, every now and then I'll get a craving for their wonderful greek gyros! Never been disappointed, always wonderful prompt service, even for take out! more
