Best birthday present!! 1/10/2012

I have had many massages throughout my life because of my chronic back. Some friends of mine got me a gift certificate for my birthday to Eastside Oasis. Nicole, the receptionist, was very helpful from the moment I tried to book my appointment. She gave me lots of information about the types of techniques used and the services they had to offer. I upgraded my gift certificate to a 3 hour lavender lady package. The massage was SO helpful and helped my back tremendously. The body exfoliation and facial also felt wonderful. I have returned multiple times since then and would recommend it to everyone. What an amazing birthday present. more

Hot Stone Massage aka Rub 11/29/2011

My first and last time going to this place. I made an appointment for a hot stone massage and ended up getting a hot stone rub. The person giving me this massage aka rubdown did not put any effort in putting any pressure in her strokes. Worst or all, I think she had left the fan on or something because I felt a chilly draft throughout this so called massage. My body felt worst after leaving this place because of the warmth of the hot stone followed by the cold breeze and to top it off, I was out $70. more

Facial fine but not a full "spa" experience 9/14/2011

I purchased the "Roses For You" package off of a Groupon offer and was disappointed. I wanted to try a new spa as I'm looking for on on the Eastside but this isn't my calling. When I make it to a spa - I want a full relaxing experience with some ambience. My first impression was one of the techs arguing with the front desk about what rooms were available and she didn't have one. This should be discussed behind the "scenes". My masseuse never asked how much pressure I would like during my massage and they didn't have any kleenex in the room. In addition this is the first spa I've been to that didn't have a room where I could fix my hair/make up before leaving. The facial was nice. I never did get my hand massage or the "Rose Petal Foot Soak". The "snack" and "assorted chocolates" were ritz crackers, grapes, chocolate kisses and oreo cookies. I can get those at home. It would have been nice to have them try for something a little different. All in all it was a day I was at the spa but will not be recommending it to my friends. I guess my search continues.... more

Effective and friendly facial services 7/3/2011

I have been having a chronic problem with adult acne all my life. I tried many different ointments and made a few doctor's visit for it without very much result. Still I usually get a few breakouts almost all the time. My co-worker gave me a gift certificate for Oasis for Christmas and I had a deep acne facial treatment from Sureeta at Eastside Oasis without too much expectation. But I think it is working!! My face is acne free right now. I have 3 facials from her so far. Sureeta is down to earth, friendly, and knows what she is doing. Reasonbaly priced, conveniently located and most importantly, it is working for me. I am planning to go back regularly to keep my face acne free. more

Rude customer service 4/10/2011

From 0ctober 2010 to April 2011 I tried to book a service that they couldn't seem to book. I was met with resistance every step of the way. I was told by the assistant manager "Do you know how many people work here? Do you know how hard it is for everyone to know everything?" Every time I called to try to confirm why I couldn't get my service booked, no one could find my service in the system. The receptionists were friendly, but just had no idea what was going on. When I finally did get a hold of the assistant manager she was extremely unprofessional and rude. I was looking forward to my services here, but I could not get past the rude customer service and unprofessionalism. I will never go back and I recommend everyone does not either. more

Great value, great service 10/29/2010

I've gone to Eastside Oasis off and on since they first opened. There is a reason they have expanded in a poor economy. They offer good services at an excellent price. I love a swanky experience as much as the next girl, but I can't justify paying 30% more just for a bit of ambiance. We all need to save our pennies these days. I've watched many other 'spas' come and go in the East Bellevue area. This one has thrived for a reason. My most recent service was for permanent makeup. Very well done, VERY affordable, and I felt cared for by Ela. We had great conversation to boot. If you're all about the glitz, this spa is not for you, but if you want good value for your money, give this place a try. more

SUCH A NICE SPACE 7/8/2010

This spa is such a nice space. Mitra was wonderful. I love the location! Lots of parking! Vicki more

Good for girls "Day at the Spa!" 6/30/2010

We booked for a girlfriend's birthday after looking all over the internet for a spa that would suit our "spa party" needs - that in itself was a hard task! Not that many spas out there that accomodate "spa party" type groups. EO was very accomodating to each one of our wishes - some did packages, some did individual services. We asked if we could bring in pasties and drinks to celebrate our bday girl and they were more than accomodating and even had an area for us to congregate together btwn spa services. Sometimes, our g/f's can be loud and obnoxious (you know how girls are!) and at times we thought we might be too loud or offensive to others in the spa, but the staff at EO told us we were fine and to go ahead and have a good time! That was nice :-) I have to agree with one of the prior reviews, my massage wasn't the best I'd ever had. In fact, it was mediocre, at best. It was like petting an animal, very superficial, no working of the muscles at all. My massage was supposed to be a hot stone also, though it didn't sounds nearly as bad as the other reviewers experience:) Unfortunately, not long into the massage, I was beginning to to think that the stones were more so getting in the way for my masseuse than enhancing the massage:-( Bummer. Other than the massage itself, we had a great time. My other services were nice and relaxing, and we didn't mind the "older bldg" at all. In fact, I rather liked it better than say a stuck up, hoity toity spa. The prices were very reasonable. All in all, I think we'll definitely go back again... I just need to be more specific with my wishes on my massage experience! Pros: Attentive staff, very unpretentious and down-to-earth Cons: Older bldg, massage did nothing for me more

Wonderful Massage. Great service 6/14/2010

I went to Eastside Oasis on Sunday with two of my friends. We are from Vancouver and had a great experience. Our massages with Wendy, Kara and Katie were the best. We also took a tour of their spa which is totally remodeled and they have fantastic new spa services as well as facials and nails. This is the best kept secret in Bellevue. We plan to come again when we are back in town. Pros: New Remodel, Great massage and customer service more

Worst massage ever! 5/16/2010

Decided to try this spa because I thought I had a Blue Cross discount. Turns out was only for "medical massage," and owner gave me $10 off anyway. That was the good part. The massage was amateurish at best. Kara (sp?) asked me what areas were bothering me before she started, and I was clear my lower back was a terrible mess. This was a stone/deep tissue package. She put stones on, and left the room several times to "get something." I've had stone massages before, and they consist of *massage* and stones, not just putting the stones (or as she called them, "rocks") on and standing there. She finally did massage my arms and legs, lightly. Then turned me over. Forgot to put stones on front, then began to massage neck and shoulders. Through this, the CD kept skipping. She finally fixed it once. Then it did it again as she was finally getting to some deep tissue work. And then she was done. Out of time, and she hadn't even touched my low back! I was shocked. She explained the scheduled length of the massage, which I knew. My point was that she had a clock and the ability to know how much time had passed, so she could hit the critical areas while there was time. I cannot tell time face down w/o a clock. She said I could schedule for another time, but I pointed out the main reason I'd come THAT DAY was to have massage on my painful lower back. When I went out, the front desk person asked how it was, and I said she didn't even touch the most needful part. Front desk person seemed to hardly care. I left, and I will never go back. Some people have comments about the building. That didn't bug me--what matters most is the massage room itself and the therapist. Perhaps there are other therapists there who are good. Not this one. Very disappointing. Pros: Easy parking. Cons: Massage therapist seemed very inexperienced more

Ela Swiera Esthetician 12/17/2009

I recently had a gift certificate to Eastside Oasis Day Spa, and I have been going here for 4 years. Although an older site, the ladies that work here are the best I have had. I recently had the opportunity to have Ela Swierz give me a facial...It was amazing and different. I feel she is the best I have had. I urge you to book an appointment with her. Cindy Pros: amazing Esthetician Cons: Older siter more

If you want an amazing massage..... 7/10/2009

I can't believe all of the whining that people have bothered to do about this establishment. If you want to pay top dollar to drink fruited water by the fireplace (which, OK, might be what you are looking for once in a while) then probably not for you. On the other hand, if you believe that a truly skilled massuse can make a real difference in how you move and feel -- especially if you get massage on a fairly regular basis -- then Eastside Oasis is perfect. I've had massages in a number of places including the Pro Club and Miraval (Oprah's Spa of choice) and can tell you that Mitra is definitely stellar! Her hands know where your muscles are. Whether healing from a back injury (she is certified to be covered by insurance) just feeling great -- I can recommend Mitra -- 150% Pros: convenience, skill, price Cons: If you want to pay for posh -- probably not for you more

Great experience for massage therapy with Marina 6/13/2009

I highly recommend Marina if you want to have a relaxing massage or if you need to recover from a back/neck injury. She has great knowledge and experience that is helping me recover from my auto-accident. Sincerely, Stephanie Pros: Great service, technique & ambiance more

Great neighborhood spa 4/23/2009

It is really a shame that the folks who read these reviews don't seem to be aware that any decent business makes tweaks to their business along the way based on customer experiences and feedback. This is not a posh spa experience but they do have a very clean zen-like facility with attentive and talented staff. In the past few years they have changed their floor plan around to make it a quieter experience for those visiting for massage only. I've taken several out-of-town friends in for hot stone massages and they loved the experience as well. The receptionists have changed and though I never had a bad experience with any of them the current one is kind and attentive. This is a wonderfull place to visit for whatever your need: mani, pedi, massage, etc. Best of all it is very conveniently located on the Eastside right off of NE 8th (not hard to find if you can read addresses). Prices are reasonable for those of use who simply want a massage (or mani/pedi/facial) and don't feel the need to pay for the 4-star river rock fireplace, the embroidered spa robes, and all of the sometimes ridiculous spa-pampering that goes with it. This place should not be ruled out - if you're not looking for the cost and extras that go with a 4-star spa this is the place to try. I think you'll find you are pleasantly surprised by how much you get from the experience - and you'll spend half of what you would elsewhere. Besides . . . how long do you really have that 4-star spa embroidered robe on anyway . . . .enough to pay double what you would at Eastside Oasis? If you say yes to this you will need to find somewhere else to park your Hummer. For the rest of you - enjoy spending less and getting a fabulous treatment. Pros: Convenient, professional, reasonably priced, takes insurance Cons: None more

GREAT PLACE WITH LOTS OF SERVICES 1/14/2009

I 'm new to Bellevue and wanted to find a place to have my massage and nails done. I found Eastside Oasis had both services. I read all the reviews and was surprised by the severe trashing of a few with all the others being so good. The prices seemed very reasonable so I decided to give them a chance. I was very happy with my massage with Panissama and my pink & white back fill with Jennifer. The service was great, the Spa was very clean including the nail area. Jamie the receptionist even brought me hot tea while I was waiting. i had a nice relaxing massage on a heated electric massage table. The pedicure was done on a heated pedicure chair with a place for my hot tea. I think the place was terriffic especially all the nice staff and the very pleasant front desk girl. i'll be going back again for my fill and another massage. I can't believe the reviewers were at the same place I went to. Go by and check it out for yourself. Some of these reviews sound like "competition" especially the ones that say to go somewhere else they like better. I will say it is not a posh hotel type spa, just a nice clean modern local business. Pros: Good Location, free parking, great staff, convenient hours Cons: NONE more

Go Elsewhere if You Like a Clean, Serene Spa Experience 1/5/2009

I believe the good reviews of this place are by friends and family. This place is filthy, dumpy and gross. There are some nice people working here but it's not a great spa experience. You get what you pay for. Pros: cheap, lots of parking Cons: dirty, gross, basement-like feel, smells moldy and musty, rude front desk more

2nd time just as bad! 12/10/2008

The first time I tried the spa, the massage was OK with a good price. But wow was the front desk rude. I don't remember her name but I was made to feel like I was bothering them. I figure, everyone has a bad day (this is no excuse though - if you don't like being in the service industry, especially a spa, get out), so I tried again because of their advertised special. Again, I was met with horribly rude and cold personalities. The massage therapist was good but the place is dirty looking. There are better, more spa like places for good prices. I won't go there again. Don't be fooled by the specials. It's not worth it. more

Best facial ever! 11/4/2008

Each year my husband gives me a gift certificate to a spa. This was my first year at Eastside Oasis and I have already put it on my Christmas list to go back. Jamie gave me the best facial I have ever had. She has just the right touch. The whole experience was a treat, next time I won't wait so long to use my certificate. Pros: Great services at great prices! Tons of parking. more

rude receptionist - great massage 4/23/2008

I booked a couples massage with the spa and was really excited- from the reviews it appeared that this spa would be great. The phone service was impeccable...until we arrived at the spa and the women at the desk barely payed attention to us. She acted as if we were pan handling and being a bother to her. We somehow arrived 30 minutes early even though the woman on the phone told me to arrive 15 minute before the appt. We were sent away and told to return closer to our appt time (even though I had confirmed on the phone 2 times about our appt time.) After we returned 30 minutes later we were then treated to another round of ignoring and rudeness by the receptionist along with a an additional 15 minute wait. While the massage and the massage therapists were kind and very good- the experience felt very "non spa like" and left us with some stress - due to the rude receptionist. Upon completion of the massage- we realized that we did not get our advertised service and were then begrudgingly given a $20 "discount"- if you want a great massage with borderline rude service then you should go here. IF not, there are far better day spas in the Seattle area (sans the rude receptionist.) Pros: Location, massage therapists Cons: rude receptionist more
