East Side Market Place 9/15/2011

It is convenient, but pricey, milk is more expensive there than at whole Foods. Also some of the employees not so nice, one in particular in the Deli section young girl with white glasses, yikes. she really does not like her job. But that being said I love Susan T, and most of the cheese ladies as we call them. I wish they were more community minded though. Tough trying to obtain any donations to non-profit organization events. I love, love the smaller shopping carts, but hate the little carts that parents allow their children to use inthe store. Always a nuisance, and yes I have children. more

You have to like that it's a local store. But the produce is iffy (they hide bad apples on the bottoms of bags, dig around to find fresh lettuce, etc...), the fish often looks a bit...old, and the organic produce, famously sold for the same price as "conventional", is only available from time to time (i.e. when they can get it cheaply). But you don't get the same level of hypocrisy that you'll find up the street at Whole Foods (just *try* to figure out their position on sustainable seafood). more

Good Grocery Store 8/21/2005

Eastside Marketplace is a pretty good grocery store. It is like a typical Stop & Shop or Shaws although the price is a bit more expensive. I find the vegetables here a bit fresher than the regular stores. One good thing about this store is that it has a pretty big selection of organic food and international foods. From marsala to coconut to vermicelli and rice, it has more international food than other stores which makes shopping a bit more convenient if you need these items. more

eastside marketplace is the worst grocery store i have ever been to. they have the high prices of whole foods, but not nearly as high quality food. if you want inexpensive normal food, go to stop and shop or shaws. if you want expensive gourmet or specialty foods, go to whole foods. but don't go to eastside marketplace and pay a lot for normal food. more

Good selection 8/12/2005

Eastside Marketplace has good, friendly service and has a nice layout and size. The natural foods selection has a good selection of supplements, teas, lotions and organic foods. They carry local specialties and produce. The regular foods is often a bit more expensive than what you would see at Stop and Shop. But, they do have good specials and double coupons .50 or less. more

good grocery store, a bit expensive 8/10/2005

As far as selection, Eastside Marketplace has about any grocery you will need. They have a deli, seafood section, and even a section devoted to all natural foods. I used to go here a lot because it is so close to me, but I realized the prices at stop&shop are significantly lower. I would recommend it if it is your closest option, but otherwise stick with stop&shop. more

Fabulous Grocery Store! 8/1/2005

The Ultimate Shopping Experience Everything you can think of in a wonderful, pleasing atmosphere. Great snack area where you can eat your take out or have a leisurely meal. The take out selection is endless. The salad bar is to die for! Great bakery and wonderful breads. Excellent Produce. No problem with parking. Really worth the trip!
