I do not have a reputation of being loyal to hairdressers. I just never really found one that I loved. That is, until yesterday. I needed a fall pick-me-up and decided to do that with a cut and color. Eastbank Hair was recommended to me by a friend. They use Aveda products, which was a huge plus. Karen worked on my hair. She took great care of me from the time I walked through the door until the time I left. She helped me choose my colors and was so friendly and hospitable throughout the process. She's been in the business for quite some time, which made me feel confident in her. The studio was clean and cozy. I sipped tea as Karen added color to my locks and we chatted for a while. My new look turned out amazing and I got a lot of compliments at work today! I think my hair is finally ready for a monogamous relationship ;) more

I always look forward to my experiences at East Bank. I love the Aveda products and it very relaxing. On my last visit talked with Karen about my hair color and cut and it was just perfect: a vibrant red shade with my dark color, which was still fun, yet professional. The cut was also amazing! She showed me how to easily style it at home and make it look great, even on the go! more

Best cut in years! 1/4/2012

Finally, I have been looking for a salon that is laid back and welcoming! I made an appointment with Sam, who made me feel comfortable to ask questions and really talked me through what we were going to do with my hair. I was really reserved about trying out a new stylist because of past experiences, but Sam really made me feel excited before we even started my brand new look! I got a fantastic cut that really fits my personality and my face. I have never gotten so many compliments at work and the gym I have been going to for 10 years! I also never knew that I would love fringe so much but I'm a fringe girl for life! Thanks Sam! more

Great experience 8/25/2011

My experience at East Bank ON 8/24/11 was wonderful. There is a fresh smell about the place. Love the product that they use on the hair ""Aveda"". The warmth that you receive is incredible. Karen takes her time to hear your hair problems and offers great suggestions. I forget the name of the young lady who shampoos your hair...I wanna say Lisa..may be i am wrong. Oh, she just nicely massages your hair..almost setting the tone for a great experience. Extremely friendly environment. They offer you tea or water when you arrive which is unusual. The whole hair cutting experience is wonderful. I think after many years of searching for a good hairstylist, I think I have found mine. Try it out...worth the effort. I don't live anywhere close by but decided to take that chance. And I am so glad I did. Finicky as I am...take it from me, you will not be DISAPPOINTED. more

Eastback Hair-- terrific!! 8/20/2011

EAST BANK HAIR! EAST BANK HAIR! EAST BANK HAIR!- I'm cheering because that's how wonderful I felt after I saw how great my hair looked after the wonderful services provided by my hairstylist and color expert , Karen. Upon arrival I was treated so graciously. The staff was friendly and a nice, hot ,flavorful cup of tea was readily available while Karen inquired about my ""hair goals"". She explained the options most suitable for my hair and I was completely confident in her expertise as she suggested the gold and red tones that would enhance my brown - gray spattered hair. I enjoyed my time while my hair was being transformed, ( waiting for the color to take effect); the lively conversation, the engaging staff and the comfortable atmosphere. Overall results- awesome! My hair is softer and more vibrant looking and I love that the products they use are safe for your hair( Aveda). Thank- you Karen for making my first visit to East Bank Hair so relaxing , I will be back!!!---Terri Service Value more

Karen has been cutting my for over 20 years. She is always accomadating, lovely and helpful. She has excellant skills and has changed my color and cut many times over the years. The salon is small, personalized and all the staff is helpful. They use only Aveeda products. This is an excellantsalon in every way with no drawbacks and you would be lucky to have Karen cut your hair. Pros: Excellant service, prices and skills more

On the way in I am typically exhausted, feeling old and unattractive. After an hour with Edward in the relaxing, jovial atmosphere I feel and look like the years have melted away. He is a master at color and great at recommending, and executing, just the right cut. more

This Aveda salon and its staff provides very personal, attentive, and professional vibes to its customers. Edward opened my eyes to Aveda products for my hair and skin and I can say neither has ever been better. The products are great, the service has always been a pleasure to deal with, overall a great salon. You definitely get what you pay for, I highly recommend this salon. more

Relaxing and Enjoyable 11/10/2009

I love my experiences at east bank. I love the relaxing atmosphere, the friendly, down-to-earth employees and always love my hair. Karen's coloring techniques are amazing, she is easy to talk to, personable, and sincerely listens. The fact that it is an Avaeda salon makes it even better. theis products are eco-friendly and have a natural feel and smell; they do not have that chemical feel to them. I highly recommend East Bank Hair more

I love Eastbank Hair because of it's relaxing environment. Truly different than other salons that have several busy stylists where conversations are loud and clients are constantly coming and going. This salon is smaller, more intimate, and peaceful...just try to walk into the place without being offered a cup of tea.\r \r Several years ago I found Karen, my stylist, and a couple years later she moved to Eastbank. I've never been happier. My highlights and lowlights are beautiful now, instead of the bleached-mess I brought to Karen. \r \r Last fall Karen did my hair for my wedding and I'm convinced she's the one who made me beautiful! more

When you find someone you feel you can really trust, that is worth a lot! Karen is that person. Not only is her personality so welcoming and fun, but you leave feeling like you have been with a longtime friend. The atmosphere is comfortable, relaxing and friendly. I'm so glad to finally find Ali after the Edward Amato salon closed last year. Apparently Edward from the old salon now owns Eastbank Hair. I totally agree with the other reviews about how relaxing the salon is and with all the Aveda stuff, it smells great too! Ali is a very talented stylist that really listens to what you want!!! \r They only use Aveda color and I can tell you that it holds up a lot better then other natural colors and comes out very,very shinny! Pros: Aveda/Free parking! Cons: Need to book way in advance for a eve./sat. appt. more
