Dyker Heights Florist handled my wedding at Tribeca Rooftop. I cannot explain how BEAUTIFUL the flowers were. From the bouquets to the centerpieces to the breathtaking floral accents on the stair railings, escort arrangements and hanging chandeliers, one arrangement was more beautiful than the next. My guests still rave about the decor and my pictures look like a dream wedding you would see in a wedding magazine. I cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful and professional job. Simply amazing, thank you! more

I should have read the reviews before i booked Dyker to do my wedding. As i read them now, 3 weeks after my wedding, i feel as if im readng my story not other bride's disappointing stories.. George was so wiling and eager to help us at first. We knew other people that used him and said he did an OK job, but since he seemed so excited we figured he was gonna do better than we excpected. Were we wrong!!! My wedding was fabulous EXCEPT FOR THE FLOWERS!!! he promised one thing and delivered something completely half assed. Lets start with what came to the house. The bouquets were nice, the boutonnieres were a disgrace. Falling apart before they were even pinned to the men. i asked for petals for the cone throws and my planner said he didnt even give enough to fill half of the cones.. So now i get to church I specifically said i hate bows on the pews.. Guess what was there.. not bows, but cheap party city plastic tables cloths thrown over the pews, that actually a guest who was at church earlier, said he cut the ribbon he tied them with, with his teeth! Real professional George!!!! now lets go to the reception.. I had 20 tables some low some high.. the low ones were nice, the high ones werent mine!! They were much smaller then the sample he orginally made for me, there were 2 pathetic crystals hanging off the horrible thing & to boot the orginally smple had water with vines in the glass vase.. Guess it was too much to ask to fill them up.. But wait theres more.... My cake table was truly the best! it had 10 measley rose petals, that were brown & shrivled beyond recognition. When i saw it i went lookig for george bc he promised hed be there to make sure everything was up to par. George was no where to be found. Who do i get his wife. who was scared of me! she wanted to deal with my husband. She replaced the 10 measley rose petals and added 20 more measley rose petals.. THanks Mrs. George.. And last but not least.. my sweetheart table.. again, supposed to have low cenetrpices with crystals, he put the bridesmaids bouquets! NOT what i paid for... And last its time for the bouquet toss and guess what... you guessed it no toss away bouquet!! I wouldnt walk away from Dyker florist id run!!!!! I called George when i got back from my honeymoon and his ""brother' said hes away for 3 weeks.. Still havent heard from him... THanks again Dyker!! more

I was so excited when I first met George and he seemed so great at what he does. The first sample he showed me was exactly what I wanted, and we had discussed all the details for the church, reception, and my parents house. The week of the wedding I called repeatedly until he finally got back to me the night before the wedding- of course I had to pay the week before (in full), so I was very disappointed that he didn't return any of my calls or seem interested in what I had to say. He was always rushing me off the phone. Anyway, he told me everything was all set.\r The day of the wedding was a whole other story. First, he didn't decorate my fathers house. Now what bride doesn't have her house decorated?? I called and he then sent someone back- this guy seriously put some bogus white (little) bows on a few bushes and left. We took them down because they looked ridiculous. Secondly, they showed up right before the church started and threw everything together. It was all lopsided that my aunt had to fix them. He was even supposed to do 12 pews on each side and did only the first 3. I was beyond furious. Ok, now here is the best part. They showed up at my reception 5 minutes before it was to begin. I was frantically calling for over an hour during my cocktail hour..only to be given every story in the book. I had to hold my guests in the cocktail hour for an additional 25 minutes while they set up. I was so upset..no bride should be crying on her wedding. To top it off, the flowers weren't even right. It looked nothing like the sample and it was missing all the branches in the vases. I had paid for all these details. I was beyond upset but decided that it would either ruin my wedding or I could deal with it at another time. I am beyond disappointed with Dyker Heights Florist. I wish I could turn back time and have picked someone else. I had so many visions for my wedding day and he took a lot of that away from me. He takes on way too many clients and his end result is horrible!!! Please be weary if you decide to go with them. They will promise you so much and not deliver on any of it. Best of all..he charges a lot for his services...totally not worth it!!!!!! more

George is amazing- He pays attention to detail and delivers as promised. He makes wedding planning enjoyable. There is so much stress that comes with planning a wedding and by using Dyker florist, it was the one thing that was not stressful. He listened and provided great ideas. They go above and beyond in making your wedding spectacular. I would recommend Dyker Heights florist for every bride!!!! more

I was very excited to meet George after having a hard time with the florsit I had originally chosen for our wedding. Each time my MOH and I went to see samples for my wedding I swooned but not on my wedding day. I live in NJ and the florist is based in Brooklyn, NY I was promised that the flowers would arrive at my house at 10, 3 phone calls later they arrived at 11:30. My bouquet had ivory flowers I requested white, there was supposed to be a Rhine stone ring around the flowers and there wasn't. I get to the church, my husband had berries on his boutonniere, we did not discuss berries. I was married in October not the winter where berries would be appropriate. The center pieces had daisies in them which were not in the sample that he had made for us and I had asked for the cake to be done up with flowers they stuck 6 flowers in the cake! Through out the months leading to the wedding I had no doubt he was going to do a fantastic job but I was completely disappointed and would not recommend him to other brides. Cons: Very deceiving, disappointing more
