I called the dealership to ask if they had an Insight on the lot, that we could test drive. Tony answered the phone and said let me check. After a moment on hold, he said that they have some on the lot. Later I made the drive down there. Long story short: They had no Insights on the lot, and / or no Insights that we could test drive. Tony's reply was ""Oh I thought you said a CRV"" Can you say bait and switch. Congrats you just lost another customer, and I will be very vocal about my experience with your dealership. more

-Questionable pricing policy ($499 ""dealer fee"" added to every vehicle on top of MSRP and destination & handling fees); tried to claim such markups were necessary for them to turn a profit (as if the MSRP doesn't have built-in profit), etc. They added this fee a week after we signed a purchase agreement (it took a week for them to get the car after promising us it would be there within 48 hours) that DIDN'T contain it after we told them we weren't going to pay it. Mind you, the purchase agreement already contained a $600 markup over MSRP + dest. & handling (we decided the $600 markup was fair since they had to find the car at another dealership and have it transported, and basically wouldn't budge any more on the asking price). Keep in mind this was all for a car that stickered at $15,940\r \r -Shady finance department (tried to pass a longer term loan at a higher APR than we qualified for, listed the mileage as much much lower than actual vehicle mileage at the time of sale on the bill of sale, etc.).\r \r Basically, watch your back and make sure to read everything twice before signing anything if you choose to do business with them. \r \r I, for one, won't ever make that mistake again.\r Cons: Shady pricing policies, incompetent finance dept. more
