This is really a wonderful store to find the books you wouldn't normally find at main stream books stores. I did enjoy looking around but when it came down to customer service the older woman in there was a snobby and impatient. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/2/2012

This is a fine bookstore. But please don't get coffee at the nearby corporate chain Starbucks, when there two perfectly good LOCAL INDEPENDENT coffee houses within 2 blocks and much better tasting too at Rohs Cafe (at Rohs and McMillan) and Baba Budan's (239 W. McMillan). Shopping at chains like $tarbuck$ has the same effect as shopping at Borders or Barnes&Noble or Amazon for books. Any money you give to chains will slowly destroy small businesses like this that need your patronage. Look at all the stores UC is undermining with their new re-development--how many are local and independent? There used to be so many more. Please shop LOCAL and INDEPENDENT. Duttenhofer's is a-okay. more

This is for devout book lovers who, um, love books. It is cozy, warm, slightly musty, and completely another world. A world of books. Pros: huge selection, eclectic inventory, cozy atmeclectosphere Cons: parking street only more
