2 pair of jeans were hemmed unevenly, sloppily, irregularly and too short. The seamstress attempted to fix it but it didn't make any difference. I dropped two brand new jeans to be hemmed on 9/30/09. It was picked up right before I left on vacation for 2 weeks. They pressed the jeans so I couldn't tell at the time if there was anything wrong except that the hem looked different than the way they've hemmed a jean before (cut then folded over and stitched). When I returned from vacation, I washed the jeans and found the hem to be uneven, swooping out on certain sides so that it looked like bell bottoms. It was shorter than I wanted also. The seamstress had attached the original hem, which I didn't request, with the stitching not straight at certain points. I returned the jeans on 10/19 to discuss my dissatisfaction. The seamstress gave me an attitude, not even asking me to try it on or appear apologetic. She just said she'd undo it and left. I picked up the jeans on 10/26 and tried the jeans on. The original hem that was cut was still stitched on the jeans. The inseam of one pant leg was longer than the outer seam. The jeans still swooped out and longer in the front and back of the second jean. The seamstress and another employee wouldn't acknowledge anything wrong and told me to take off the jeans so that they can measure the pant legs. They pulled the ends of the jean pants together to show me that it was even. They then blamed the unevenness to the jeans and that there was nothing they could do about it. The cleaners has a satisfaction guarantee promise but they refused to compensate for the jeans they ruined (it looks retarded now) and only refunded me the alteration fee in cash, which was $27.25. I used Dutch Boy Cleaners for years. They would come up missing a shirt now and then and deny it was ever given to them. Since I always turned in large numbers of shirts (around 45) I always gave them the benefit of the doubt on the missing shirts. However, the last time I went, I complained about a missing shirt. They first claimed that I counted wrong (as usual). But, when I kept insisting, they finally brought out a shirt and handed it to me (yes, I identified it as mine). The shirt was torn from the collar down to the waist. They then claimed it was given to them that way. I knew it wasn't and I knew they had torn the shirt. They probably grabbed a bunch of wet laundry and ripped the shirt in the process. They refused to replace the shirt, apologize, or even admit that they might have tore the shirt. That was the last time I took my clothes to Dutch Boys. I had spent close to $1000 at that location on Nacogdoches until the last incident. I have never been back, and I don't recommend Dutch Boys as a reliable, customer friendly establishment. There are plenty of other reliable cleaners in San Antonio without patronizing that type of business. Cons: Poor Customer Service, Dishonest, Neglectful, Destruction of your clothes more
