Play Ball! 12/2/2005

The Durham Bulls Athletic Park is just an all around great place. We get the mini plans each year for a great price. They also try to make the program better each year with different promotions. They have a policy that allows you to reuse unused tickets during the season. On many Friday nights, they have fireworks too. There actually is a wide variety of foods to choose from besides the ever so popular hot dogs and beer. They have snow cones, pizza, Goodberry's, mexican, pretzels, bbq, fried chicken, nuts, etc. On some Thursday games, they have family feast night where certain food items are only $1. The games are fun to watch but even better is the whole atmosphere. The stadium is not so big that it is overwhelming and it is small enough to make you feel like you're a part of the whole thing. Plus, if you get seats in the upper sections which is smart for those rainy days, it is not that far up...for those lazy folks! It's great for the family. Kids 5 and under go free too. Very affordable, you can save the money to buy food. There is also a little playground for kids besides other things for the kids. Wool E. Bull and Lucky the wonder dog are also favorites for children and adults. Tickets are great for gifts and the whole area around there is developing very nicely with the tobacco warehouses. more

Take me out to the ballgame! 9/1/2005

A night out with the Durham Bulls is one of the best times to be had in Durham. The ballpark is clean and well-maintained and the games are especially family friendly. Ballpark food is pretty good--nothing too fancy, just hot dogs, beer, etc.--the kind of stuff you look forward to at a ball game. They have promotions for buy one get one free tickets and discounts on food and drinks throughout the week. more

The perfect family outing 8/23/2005

Durham is incredibly lucky to be home to the most well known and popular minor league baseball team in America. One of the most family friendly ballparks around everyone can enjoy it! There are activities for kids, but plenty for big kids as well. You don't even have to know anything about or even like baseball. There is tons of food options from fried dough to healthy, fresh sandwiches. A must do event that will be a great time! more

A good time 8/19/2005

It is so incredibly cheap to go to a Bull's game - you can get tickets for under $10. Heck, you can get tickets for under $5 sometimes. We have mini-season passes with friends, which is a great way to get together. The Bulls aren't as good as they were last year, but it's still fun to go. Food is pretty good and very inexpensive for a sporting event. I especially like the burgers and fries. The Nutty Bavarian is fantastic! And there's Goodberry's for the ice cream lovers. more

couldnt ask for a better place 8/16/2005

beautiful stadium...seats about 6000 i believe. not a bad seat in the house, which is normal for a minor league place i guess. the atmosphere is wonderful. lots of fans at most games, pretty good food (stay away from the snow cones though), and they have all kinds of promotions for students and families. most tickets are under 8 bucks too i think, so it's a cheap place to go out with a group. i highly recommend it. more

Bull Durham! 8/16/2005

They've got a (relatively) new stadium and a lot of fun. If you like minor league baseball, the Durham Bulls are definitely worth checking out. Easy to park and ride a trolley in to the stadium. The baseball has a bunch of family attractions, such as Wool E. Bull -- the team's mascot, and occasionally a chicken. Of course also the giant "hit bull win steak" sign! more

Perfect Family Outing 8/11/2005

My husband is a huge sports fan so we got Thursday night season tickets to the Durham Bulls this year. We have had so much fun this season! Not only are the tickets reasonable, but on Thursday nights they have $1 hot dogs, fries, and popcorn. A night at the ball park for us costs only $10 for food, and we are stuffed. they also have a ton of family friendly activities going on during the game and between innings. With any season ticket pass your parking is included so you don't have to scrounge for $3 every game, and you can also get the free promos they hand out. more

Fun Minor League Baseball Team 7/14/2005

The Durham Bulls stadium is very nice and easy to get to off 147 due to all the signs leading to the park. Unfortunately, once there, parking can be a huge pain. The games are often exciting even until the last inning and the team is fun to watch. They have a lot of promotions (i.e. Kids Run the Bases Nights, $1 Family Feast Night) that make it that much more enticing to take the family to watch the Bulls play. Attending a Bulls game a great way to get a group of friends together, especially when another good team is visiting. more

Went here once 7/12/2005

I went here once with my mom, aunt, and brother. The atmosphere was great. We didn't stay for the whole game because we aren't baseball fans, but we found a lot of good food. There's a lot of small restaurants to choose from. There were burritos, nachos, hot dogs, etc. If you like baseball, this is a great place to take your kids to watch a game. more
