Dr. Happy Khanna

Dr. Khanna always has time to see us (she will always fit us in somewhere). She never makes me feel like I'm being an over-protective mother. And when I have had to call the nurse's hotline a couple of times, I hear her in the background making sure everything is going the way it should. My son and her other patients love her. Her nurses are always helpful and if they cannot answer a question, they always have her come in (or come back in). I have had issues in the past with doctors shooing me out or not taking my questions seriously and I never feel that way with Dr. Khanna. So my son and I are thrilled to be with her. more

She doesn't give time to patient's. not at all friendly. Doesn't even call back in a reasonable time. I would suggest you find somebody else. more

The only pediatrician our children had ever known, we noticed a big change when Dr. Khanna moved into her new upscale office & practice. Our final visit was: 15 minutes in the waiting room then 40 minutes waiting in the exam room (torture for a small child), only 6 minutes of very impersonal time with Dr. Khanna. Her manner has become very abrupt: when I went to ask a question, she literally had her hand on the door to leave. Post Script: The kids LOVE their new doctor. When Dr. Khanna’s office called to ask why we were no longer patients, I responded candidly. The assistant cut in, “That’s fine but there’s a charge to release your children’s records.” Um, yeah... more

My kids have been seeing Dr. Khanna since day one...20+ years for one, and 17+ years for the other. We have moved right along with her when she changed offices. We have all grown together. My kids have ALWAYS received competent and compassionate care. Dr. Khanna was great during the kids' younger years and has been absolutely superb with them as young adults. She asks questions that some might find uncomfortable...about lifestyle choices, sexuality, gender preferences...all so important when looking at the health of whole person. Never a problem getting referrals either. As a parent, I will miss her when my kids outgrow her and have to move to a physician for adults. more

When I first took our two boys to her, we were expecting our third and now we have four boys, she attends to them all. I originally wasn't sure what to think of her, I am very well versed in child care issues and we had a few disagreements, however, as time as gone by, my respect has grown because she is skilled as a PEDS doctor, and she has a subtle sense of humor if you tap into it, which is good when you are dealing with kids. Being, likewise a person who is curt, I can see where people would confuse her abruptness with rudeness, however unintended I believe it to be. (I would like to point out that she has since moved on from the # given to 818.790.6300. Everyone's experience may be different, but for this hard to please father, it has been good. more

Dr. Khanna is great. My son has been with her for two years and she has been wonderful. She takes her time and always has a smile that puts my son at ease. The last time my son was sick her staff got me in the same day only 2 hours after I called. She is great and I wish there were more Doctors like her. more

We just left Dr. Khanna a few months ago--i don't know why we hung on so long. Busy, I guess. She's super short with people, made my husband feel bad--like scolded him-- when the baby had an infection, and both of her offices were less than helpful. I also felt she was prescribing things based on deals with pharmaceutical companies--which seemed gross when dealing with your baby. I know young first-time parents probably expect too much from their pediatrician, and heath care is super wonky, but I think Dr. Khanna falls way below the mark. more

Dr. Khanna has been our pediatrician for 10 years. She has always been very attentive and caring. She speaks directly to the children to ascertain how they are feeling. I have read other reviews descriding her as rude. One must learn the difference between a Doctor being straightforward and honest vs rude. Stephanie L. more

Dr. Khanna is absolutely rude! It seems as if she overschedules herself and because of this, never spends enough time with patients. On top of that, she charges for everything. She even charged us $10 to have her sign our adoption paperwork! IT WAS ONLY A SIGNATURE!!! Also, if ever you need to contact her during her on-call hours, it better not be anything less than a life threatening emergency; otherwise, her condescending attitude will make you seek out another pediatrician. I am now looking for another doctor for my child. more

Dr. Khanna is by far the BEST doctor we have ever had the opportunity to come in contact with. Our three year old LOVES her. She is a baby whisperer. She enters the office and he is fascinated with her. She has such a good way with babies and toddlers. She is also nononsense, but very sensative. We love her. Her outer office can occasionally be a bit disorganized, but we figure we'd rather have a bad receptionist and a great doctor! more

Dr. Khana was my daughter's pediatrician for almost a year (1 year to almost 2 years old) but I became increasingly disappointed with her. She never said hello to my daughter, she barely acknowledged her, she refused to take off her white coat which only made my daughter cry, saying "she'll cry no matter what." In short her bedside manner needs a lot of work. Also, I did not like the fact that it was one big waiting room. Pediatricians should have a sick side and a well side in the waiting room as infants and little ones shouldn't be exposed to so many illnesses when they are just there for shots, checkups, etc. I switched to Dr. Neville Anderson and couldn't be happier, it's like night and day. There's a well side and a sick side, the waiting room is much nicer, the receptionists are delightful and the Dr.. is a dream. She gets down to my daughter's level and says hi, talks to her, has got to know her and seems to genuinely care about why we are there. Not once has my daughter cried there and she used to be almost hysterical at Dr. Khana's office. more

There isn't anything bad that I can say about Dr. Khanna. She's always treated our kids with love and respect. She's easy to talk to and listens to our concerns. Her office is clean, and right off the 5 freeway making it very convenient. She knew my kids by name after just a few visits. She accepts all types of insurance. Her nurses are very polite as well. more

Dr. Khanna is great with my kids. She's is a very personable doctor and always treats my kids with kindness. I feel that she really "loves" them. She always talks them through any procedure. I highly recommend her. Most of her nurses are great as well. She's also easy to get into if you kids are sick. (She has a associate in the building that you can see as well.) more
