Best

We have frequented Dos Hombres since they opened in Grand Junction back in the 70's. The food has always been fabulous, and the staff are helpful and fun.

This is the worst restaurant ever! Their food used to be good, now they have changed the red sauce for the enchaladas (tasteless) the guacamole is not good anymore either. What really ticked me off is not being able to have a guacamole taco instead of a tostada. The owner refused to accomidate me on this and I just walked out at that time. Their prices have gone way up and the portions for dinner look like they should be for children. I will NEVER eat there again! Yuck! more

Fantastic food, service and fun 6/25/2010

I have been a regular at Dos Hombres for years and am still pleasantly surprised at the fantastic food. They have the best Chilli Rellenos in the state and delicious margaritas! The salsa is always fresh and the wait staff is always warm, engaging and prompt. You frequently see the owner making rounds to ensure everyone is comfortable. This kid friendly environment is a favorite of my kids and their friends. I confidently recommend this wonderful restaurant to friends, family and out of town guests. Pros: Delicious food, fun staff, kid friendly more

Horrible, in every sense of the word 2/22/2010

It's my own fault that I've been here twice. Went here about six months ago and it was awful. At that time my wife and I were told by the people at the next table to leave while we were ahead. We were seated right off, but the server didn't come around for 8 or 10 minutes, and then she had overheard the other people tell us some bad things about the place and was not only mad at them but at us also. We should have left as it just got worse. Our server kept complaining to us that they were short a server that day, spilled water on the table which ran off onto my wifes lap, then she brought us a wet dirty rag and left it on the table. The food was about as bland as it could be. To top that , we recently got a coupon in the mail and were stupid enough to go back there again last week. We didn't realize until we walked in that we had been there before. We turned and left quickly. Cons: service, food more

Do not recomend 12/20/2009

Starting with out greater I was disappointed. The place was empty yet she made it feel like a hassle to get a booth. The chips were hard and the salsa was the worst I've ever had. The guacamole was too salty and when we asked for a different batch we were told the original was from the night before. The portions were small, the chimichanga didn't even come with rice and beans and cost $11. And thats the lunchtime price. The kids meals were $6 and my sons corn dog was super hard. The waiter mentioned on certain days military gets bogo price. There is no way we would take advantage of the ""deal"" because the food was not good at all. Looking for a place to get a good chimichanga! Pros: Nice waiter Cons: Bad food, high prices more

BLAND! BLAND! BLAND! 9/22/2009

My partner and I are out-of-town-ers and our hotel suggested we try Dos Hombres, so we did....BIG MISTAKE! Normally when you go to a Mexican Restaurant the chips are deep fried/homemade and when it comes out they are warm, but this place the chips were room temperature and the flavor tasted as if they just dumped it out of a bag. The salsa and chili con queso dip tasted like it was from a can...not good at all to say the least. We ordered the fajitas and when we got the food, the meat or veggies had no seasoning whatsoever....VERY BLAND!! The fried ice cream at the end was not very authentic tasting either....so all in all I was EXTREMELY disappointed!! On a lighter note, the atmosphere was very nice and our waiter was excellent!!! However, I would not recommend this place. Pros: Ok atmosphere, GREAT service! Cons: the food wasn't anything to brag about more

all items can be ordered to the individuals taste 1/11/2009

Most of the items I have tried were very good. I believe it is best non-pretentious Mexican food in the area. We make the trip from Palmer Lake at least once a week. The food is always consistant, I know it wiil be what I am expecting. Pros: Good place for family get together, parking is adiquate and service has always been good Cons: neighborhood more

Good food for the value! 2/12/2008

I think this is a great restaurant, especially for the $$$. They have very fair pricing and the best Chili rellano's EVER! I also really like their Nachos! I read some of the other reviews and disagree with the negative comments about the staff. I had a good experience with the server. Pros: good food, great drinks, fair pricing more

Try the Guacamole 1/30/2008

I actually really like this Mexican restaurant even though its off of Airport (not the greatest neighborhood). Although, last time I was here two servers were arguing right in the middle of the restaurant. The food is pretty good and you get alot. I wouldn't say its the best Mexican in town, but I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a reasonable and good Mexican dinner. Pros: Good prices, Pretty good food Cons: Immature Staff more
