Very Disappointed!! 10/10/2010

I Waited for my sister to come into town to take her to Donna Van Goghs this weekend. We were very disappointed in the ""FOLK ART"". Most of the pieces were kind of trashy. I don't know who would buy it or why. The prints are reproductions, the jewlery boring and cheap looking, nothing was original. This little shop would do very well if they did some scouting for real Folk Artist and got some high end stuff in there. It's in a good location and the lady working there very chatty and cheerful. I will not go back. more

Fun art, bad attitude 5/12/2010

Stopped in to Donna Van Gogh's today inquiring about how to have some of my art in there. I received a very unfriendly response from the woman in charge of bringing new artists in. I had not brought any of my art with me so the attitude could not be based off of my art. Would have been nice to have some of my work in my neighborhood shop. I am a Candler Park resident and like to support the neighborhood businesses. Donna Van Gogh's will no longer have my or my wifes support. Pros: Local, fun art Cons: Bad attitude towards artists more

Amazing Atlanta Landscapes 9/7/2004

You must check this store out! Not only is it fun and fantastic, but it also has some of the best local artwork in the city. I highly recommend the amazing Atlanta lanscapes created by artist Andre Nobrega. He is a wonderful artist and his lanscapes are quite impressive. It's a must see! Pros: customer service, quality, variety more

Fanastic ""homegrown"" art 9/4/2004

Donna van Gogh's is an awesome store with homegrown flavor. All the art sold there is created by local artists and in the funky neighborhood of Candler Park, this store is sure to intrigue. It's the best place to find original and local art and I am not sure there is another store quite like it in the sprawling metropolis of Atlanta. Much of the art sold there is also functional. If you like to shop for one of a kind, often whimsical, homemade art, definitely check DVG's out. Pros: Original art, Reasonably priced, Wide variety more

Amazing Incense 9/3/2004

Donna Van Gogh's has the most impressive (in fact the only that I've seen) locally handmade incense line. The Citrus Basil and Cinnamon Clove are to die for! My wife would kill me if I did not mention the locally made Sandalwood Body Dust. She insists on it for any occasion. I am partial to the Cedar Body Dust, and the Burgamot Brown Sugar Scrub. This place has awesome art, but the handmade LOCAL body products can not be matched anywhere. The ladies who run this place really know what they are doing. Pros: Exceptional Service, Friendly Staff , Excellent Variety more

DVG's is a wonderful gift shop filled with eclectic art and knick-knacks made by local artists. I was particularly impressed with the variety and the quality of the work, especially the Atlanta landscapes created by artist Andre Nobrega. This artist is by far one of the best I have seen, and DVG's is one of only a few lucky shops to carry his work. It is a must see! You won't be disappointed. Pros: great variety more

Yoe deserve to check it out 6/2/2004

A truly wonderful unique store. For yourself, your home or that hard to shop for person. My sister-in-law will be quite happy I found this place. Make sure to check out the painted windows by the local artist TMarq.(That's what I got my sister-in-law) Pros: great inventory, great pricing, unique gifts more

Votive Candle Holders 5/27/2004

Donna Van Gogh's showcases the range of Atlanta artist talent. They offer a great selection of ware that is sure to delight your fancy. I found the perfect gift for any occasion - a votive candle holder made by Ashaine Briscoe of Jadez Collectionz. Be sure to visit and support your local artists. more

Hidden treasures 5/4/2004

Don't miss the glass case next to the check-out counter--it's full of gorgeous handmade jewelry. You'll find something to fit everyone's taste and budget. DVG's is a great place to browse and shop while waiting for a brunch table at the Flying Biscuit! more
