I'm a vet and a long time patron of the D&D, both in Summerville and Mt. Pleasant. I don't ride a bike and have NO objection to those who do. Anybody who would use the ""Vet"" car...

Used to be a regular hangout, great servers, food, drinks and atmosphere. The last few months we have...

Heading futher south 5/3/2011

Good: The food quality, uneven at times, is good when it's good but expensive for what it is. The low totem pole workers are nice people and try hard, but change often.. Bad: The management are a bunch of idiots who think that they are doing you a favor by being open. I would stay away from this place if you think you deserve appreciation for your patronage.. Improvements: New ownership. New management. Renovation. Food that meets the quality that the price demands. Maybe better would be a competing restaurant in Summerville that has a similar atmosphere and outdoor dining... something like Poe's.. more

Bikers Beware, Avoid This Establishment, Not Biker Friendly! 2/14/2009

This was my first visit to the Dog and Duck and the staff was rude, unfriendly, and quick to jump to conclusions. Parking was not an issue to me as I park in a normal space. Nevertheless, I understand that the norm was to park in the fire lane as most biker friendly establishments allow and local law overlook. The problem here is the staff not being honest and not treating their customers appropriately. Which is the problem, is it the laws of parking or the fact of the noise the bikes make? I think that all bikers should follow their request and take a legally marked spot, one bike, one parking space and go directly to the Mexican restaurant directly across the parking lot. They will more than appreciate your business. You have lost my money and I will continue to spread the word to all I know and the internet. more

great atmosphere 9/1/2006

Ive only been here once and didn't eat the food, but the beer was cold and the atmosphere was great. you can bring your dog, but you have to sit outside on the patio. everyone else seemed to enjoy their food and the service was also good. more

Great patty melts 8/14/2005

A bit of a pub atmosphere with bars both inside and outside as well as dining tables both inside and outside. Great place to have a lunch and watch the crowd. The sandwiches and salads are excellent as well as fish and chips, and for the snackers they prepare a wicked order of ultimate nachos. They are open for lunch and dinner daily. The retired "biker-dudes" seem to have made this their hang-out. They add to the atmosphere and are apparently very good customers. They also have a fired bologna sandwich, which is something of a red-neck burger!! Great place to eat and greet. more
