At least that’s what I called David the first time he cut and styled my hair in July ‘09. I had the same hair style for most of my adult life, 20 years. It was time for a change. I know some friends that had been going to DJC for a couple of years and their hair always had great style and gorgeous color. Change is not easy when you have been seeing the same stylist for many years, but I needed a more modern style to suit my personality. David and I worked together to come up with what worked perfectly for me. I love my new style and I have been back to David for more cuts, styles and advice. I lost my stylist/colorist of fifteen years. After going from hair dresser to hair dresser I found David. He takes his time whether it be a cut or color. The salon is quiet and you can truely relax. Having long hair, I often have problems with stylists either trying to give me a cut that is shorter that what I want or has no maintainable style. I caulk both up to inexperience. David is quite honestly the best and he will find something that makes you look like a celebrity if you just let him apply his talent and years of experience with hair. I've been in Austin since 1979, and I've tried a number of places for styling and coloring. They start out great, but rapidly lose interest in doing their best. I've been going to David for five years, and he has always shown professional interest in doing his best. Whether it's hair styling or color, David is the best there is. David at DJC Salon is essentially an artist. He takes such a deep interest in the look you are trying to create, and spends as much time as is needed to perfect that look. There is no rush in rush out with David. I have had two haircuts with David, and he was extremely attentive to the style I wanted. I have been very very impressed with his work. A couple weeks ago I had my first appointment with David at DJC Salon inside of Salons Unique. I have had the same hair stylist since my first haircut so I'm kind of attached to her. However, she is based in Dallas. I decided on a whim that I wanted to go blonde for the summer and took a chance on David.
