This is a great place to join a bowling league, or just to have a fun night out with some friends. If you have children you can plan birthday parties here. There is actually some parking available, and this place can hold a lot of bowlers. Come here if you are tired of most nights being Blockbuster nights. more

Great fun 9/19/2005

This bowling alley is a no frills place. But talk about a good time on the weekends. place rocks. Beers are reasonable and they keep flowing. You can get loaded and bowl for hours. Bring a group of friends and party away as most of the place is doing. A good place to meet others as everyone is drinking and having a good time. more

New-school bowling 8/13/2005

When you're looking to do something different on the weekend, something a little more laid-back, but with a group of friends, you might want to check out Diversey Rock 'n' Bowl. It's not necessarily cheap, but it's what you can expect to pay for bowling these days. The differentiating factor about this alley is that their up-to-date good music! And beer is decently priced, you can get pitchers of bud, miller, and better beers also(I think they have Boddingtons at least). The lanes are really smooth, which is good if you take bowling seriously, and there is a good selection of balls, plenty of lanes.. They have one pool table and it's a dollar per game, pretty sweet... Still my favorite place to go bowling. . more

Great Bowling Alley in North Side 8/6/2005

Diversey River Bowl was formerly known as Rock N Bowl. It is know for its bright lights, strobe and neon, and also the fog effect. It is a very busy bowling alley in the evenings on weekend, so do come early to reserve a lane. It is a bit too crowded for my liking, but cosmic bowl is a nice feature to try out if you have not seen it before. Basicly they turn off the lights and use the black lights on the lanes and add a bit of fog. I would not recommend taking the kids here in the evenings due to the heavy smoke and drinking from the patrons. more
