Very good views of the kingdom! 8/27/2006

The Contemporary Resort is a Disney Resort which is just outside of the Magic Kingdom. It is the first monorail stop after leaving the kingdom. It has a contemporary design which i am not crazy about, but the inside of the resort hotel is beautiful, and the views of the Magic Kingdom are incredible. They have several great restauarants in this hotel, including Chef Mickeys, which the kids love because it is hosted by Donald Duck, and the characters all make the rounds to visit every table. This is an expensive resort, one of the highest priced of the Disney hotels, but if you can afford it is worth the price. more

Chef Mickey's 6/17/2006

This restaurant is located in Disney's Contemporary resort. Mickey Mouse and his pals rotate around the dinning area and mingle with the guest. We have only visited this restaurant for breakfast a couple of times. They will take family pictures of Mickey and your family before you are seated then you can purchase them on the way out. The food was plentiful. It is a serve your self buffet. They had a variety of eggs, bacon and pancakes. There were danish, donuts and fruits. It was relaxing and we did not we were being rushed to move on. You are able to use your Disney dinning options here too. more

The epitome of retro 10/3/2005

This place is happening! If you enjoy the modern flair of art and technology then this resort is for you. The monorail actually goes right through the middle of the resort. This resort also plays host to one of the best character meals on property, Chef Mickey's. The resort has views of the Magic Kingdom, a great arcade, and plenty of shopping and restaurants. There are boat rentals for the lagoon, and there is also a garden wing if you'd like to enjoy the amenities and location of the resort without all the hubbub. The tower room recently underwent renovations and are now extremely modern looking. If you're looking for a down home country feel, don't stay here! more

how often can you look our your window and see a castle 8/18/2005

This resort is just magical. It is rare that you get to look our your hotel window and see Cinderella's castle. Or that you open your door to find a monorail going through the middle of your hotel! The rooms are a good size and perfect for a family. The concierge level has a ton to offer and is a fun addition to a vacation. At the Contemporary you find Chef Mickey's which is the most fun restaurant on all of Disney Property! We love the Contemporary. It is yet another of Disney's incredibly magic hotels! more
