Have been buying tires from Discount Tires for all of our transportation for more than a decade. Had a long wait now and then but always good service. That changed earlier this week when I went in with tire problems I was having on tires with just about 15,000 miles on them. When I first bought them from Discount Tires they talked me into tires a bit bigger as they didn't have the correct size in stock. I regretted that when I drove off the lot and found they rubbed a bit in sharp turns. I could live with that though. Then a few weeks ago I noticed a vibration coming from the front and noise. I have been teaching my 10 year old how to work on trucks and was afraid we may have done something wrong when doing a brake job. Took the truck in and was told the brakes are just fine but the tires are choppy (all four of them). Took truck strait over to Discount Tire and after a fast look they said the tires where safe but cupped and then he told me it was because I have not rotated them. I explained that my son and I had rotated them twice but he said I needed proof. He called the manufacture and they said they had no known cupping issues with those tires. He did say that just because the manufacture wouldn't do anything Discount Tire would so he offered to sell me replacement tires for about $20 off the normal price of over $200. Told him I didn't have the money so just rotate them (not buying any more tires from them). By the way, bought 5 tires and one blew out less than 500 miles later. Took my Blazer out and replaced all 5 tires but not at Discount Tire. Picking up a pick-up next week, it will need 5 tires and a rim, again, they won't come from Discount Tire. Hope to replace 4 of the tires from Discount Tire on my Suburban next year but this time they will not come from Discount Tire.
