On the days I sleep in late and barely rouse myself to get an espresso before noon, Diggity Dog is the perfect mid-day lunch venue. There's no pretention in this place - just dog...

I love sausage 3/4/2006

I admit it, I'm a carnivore and I appreciate a good brat. Not many places in Seattle specialize in these, or at least what I've found. (Hint: if you have a suggestion, please review.) Diggity Dog is that quirky little place that sits close to Green Lake, near the old Honeybear Ham place. They serve up a variety of brats of different types, along with the standard dogs. Their side condiment bar is actually very good. (1) It's clean, and (2) they have a bunch of different mustards, mayos, hot sauce, etc. plus all the onions, cheese, kraut and other toppings so you can build your dog just so. I haven't been in a while, but may be returning more often now that I know they have a play area in the back of the place. So, I could have another great brat while letting the kids occupy themselves. I had the Bavarian, which was very good, though next time I'm looking for something a bit more spicey. The salmon sausage looks good as well, but who are you kidding? Get the real stuff if you can. more

What a fun place for the family. more

yum, hot dogs 12/19/2005

Diggity Dog is always a fun place to go after taking a walk around Greenlake. The hot dogs are pretty substantial and you get to put your own toppings on, like heaping mounds of chili. The laid back restaurant also has many photos of the dogs that have paid them a visit and in the back room there are toys to keep your kids occupied. Like a giant chili dog wouldn't do that! more

An average meal for an above-average price 8/9/2005

After a fun day on a nearby park, my friend took us to this local hot dog and sausage restaurant. I was impressed with the variety of the menu but the prices were a bit steep - $6 for a hot dog, which didn't include the drinks or a side dish. The 'dogs were high-quality and delicious, and their selection of chips and drinks was less of "Lays and Coke" and more of "Kettle Chips and Odwalla". I was happy with the taste but felt that I didn't get my money's worth. For a family of 4 including two small children, we spent about $30 for hot dogs and chips. more
