Bad place to eat. 5/2/2010

The waitress there took forever to get to us, but once she got there she kept urging us to order. Once we decided to order (The selection of food is small) we waited awhile for them to serve our food, which took ages. I ordered a bacon burger, which, wasn't worth the 9 or so dollars that it had cost. It seems like what had taken them so long was to find a McDonalds to have them cook it and then to bring it to Denny's. The food wasn't that good. Not only that but our drinks were empty for a while and twice the waitress came to our table and didn't fill them at all, she didn't even ask. We had to bother a busboy, and ask him if he could bring us some refills. Then a mother and her daughter we sat down behind me, and every time the daughter jumped up in her booth the chair on my side had pushed me up. We had to ask the same busboy for the check, because after the waitress had served the drink (I'm guessing after the busboy told her) she didn't come to our table. So finally after we got the check I was glad to be able to get out of that place, even though the parking was a little bit of ways away. Sadly this is not my first bad experience at that Denny's I had a waitress who had completely forgotten or ignored my order and who had insisted she was right. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Never eating there again. Pros: Price Cons: Food was bad, as well as the service. more

Not recommended! 7/8/2008

They only serve heavy dishes containing tons of eggs! There is just a small choice when you want to start your day light and don't feel stuffed already in the morning. Vegetarian dishes are as rare as non-egg meals. Coffee doesn't taste as well. If this is the only way to get some food, take it outside. People only go there to stuff their faces, munch and slurp. Pros: Price Cons: menu is not diversified enough more

..is what it is 6/12/2007

Good in a pinch or for a late nite thing. I like to order from the secret menu; I usually get the Abe Lincoln Logs or the Surly Sultan...good eats... more

Jusy okay... 3/15/2005

I come here every once in awhile for mandatory business meetings and can honestly say that I'm not impressed. The service always lags and the food is average to below average. This place is good if you just happen to be passing through and need a bite to eat... but not a place to frequent. more

Ah Denny's 3/8/2005

A classic old standby. Good basic fare 24 hours a day. Nothing flashy. Moon's over my Hammy is an instant classic that is delicious any time. The Wilshire Denny's has great service. We have large weekly breakfast meetings and we've never had a bad experience. Pros: Solid Menu, Good Service more

Cheap and Convenient 10/3/2003

You already know the Denny's menu: lots of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Seating outside is for those who have a lot of time; you wait an eternity for everything. I am normally happy with most everything I've ordered from Denny's, but the only thing that keeps me coming back to this location is the convenience. The carrot cake is very good and reasonably priced. Pros: Cheap Eats, Convenient Cons: Poor Service Outside more

Every Denny's is NOT the same 5/7/2003

Normally when I go into a Denny's or other such place, I expect certain things. Luckily, THIS Denny's goes beyond the norm. Most times I have a server who is freindly and doesn't forget me just because they are busy. The food is fresh and served hot, my drinks are kept up and I always see smiles when looking around. It's nice to have someplace to go that I can count on. Pros: Great Service, Good Prices, Good, Clean Food Cons: Food is not Free more

I wonder who denny was? 9/12/2002

Once upon a time denny's was the place to go for a midnight snack (only bc there was no where else) or if you got the munchies after clubbing all night. But now since i have a job down the street it has become sadly a spot i hit up more then id like to. This location isnt that bad and its pretty clean. The manager seems to care a little and the waiters come and go. THe best dish is still moon's over my hammy and always will be.. everything else is rubbery and yucky.. Plus this location is so much more expensive.. i mean come on! Its supposed to be cheap! more

Great service! 8/27/2002

This Denny's is the friendliest Denny's Ive ever subjugated myself to! I've been twice and the first time I was hosted by the greatest waiter in the history of dining! The 2nd time I came back, the manager and my waitress were oh so tender loving! The food on the other hand..Well it's denny's what do you think?! Its edible. I can say that much. The moon over my hammy's is a nice meal. Its kinda skimpy but tastes great. Get that with a side order of hashbrowns and your good to go! more

When I'm Desperate 8/15/2002

I only go to Denny's when I'm desperate enough for one of those typically bad burgers. The fast-food quality grub is overpriced (they have to make up for the $1.99 Grand Slam breakfast somehow), and it's rarely the way I order it. The service is some of the worst I've seen ANYWHERE. Don't go if you don't have time to sit and wait for your server, for your drinks, for your food and for your check. Each thing seems to take a year. But of course, t's Denny's. Why expect anything more? The only redeeming thing is the patio. Pros: patio Cons: bad service, so-so food more
