I purchased a Dell laptop in July of 2007 because we wanted to support the local economy (dell located in Lebanon TN) and i have an older Dell desktop that is great. In January of 2008, I started to have issues with the computer. I have been on line with tech support and on the phone a total of at least 8 times since January. Each time takes around 3 to 4 hours and the issues are still not resolved. I would love to have a refund or a new computer, but Dell doesn't guarantee their products. It's as if they build their new stuff to only last 6 months, so you will either have to keep purchasing a warranty or buy new product. I can assure you just as I assured the broken English speaking Senior Manager from India that I will never ever purchase another product from Dell. So much for supporting the local economy!
