I have been to two different daylight donut locations. The donuts were good and I was happy to see some fat free and sugar free options. I also like to support local businesses. That is why I chose to purchase 4 dozen donuts to bring to my church meeting on a Saturday morning. I even called ahead on the Friday before so that I would not cause a problem by ordering that volume. At the time of purchase the staff was pleasant. When I arrived at the meeting, I discovered a disgusting mess in the donut boxes. Apparently, the donuts were glazed when they were too hot. Inside the box, glaze was soaking into the bottom of the box and the donuts were soggy. I promptly called the Creedmoor Rd. location where I purchased them. I explained that all 4 dozen were inedible. All I expected was an apology and explaination. Instead, the manager responded by saying, ""Well, you asked for a lot of donuts, and we were rushing trying to get that amount ready, so that is just how it is."" She had such a bad attitude and instead of admitting they were at fault, she just basically said...so what?! That is not the proper way to run a business. A manager should be more open to customer concerns and complaints. Unfortunately, this treatment has made me not want to return to any daylight donut location. Oh, well, they lost a great customer. I now purchase 6 dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme every Saturday to bring to my church group.
