In Harrisonburg to visit JMU, EMU, Bridgewater, or some turkeys? Definitely stop by Dave's for their famous burger or some great Greek food. The burgers are cooked fresh and put on a homemade roll which are still warm from the oven. The onions are sliced thin, the lettuce is shredded, and the french fries taste like they were just cut. Dave's is a 'must hit' in Harrisonburg! more

The Food is always good! 8/18/2005

Dave's Taverna is conveniently located downtown in the heart of Harrisonburg, making it easy for a quick lunch. There's lot of seating or you can call in for take out. Their menu is an ecclectic mix of Greek and American food, including burgers, spanakopita, gyros, pasta, sandwiches, and more. The prices are reasonable and staff is pleasant. more

Good food, neat atmosphere 7/14/2005

This is a nice local restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Located in downtown they seem to do very well even though their parking and location is not one of the best. They have some really good food and they make a lot of their stuff from scratch. They have a fantastic hamburger called the Taverna Burger. I haven't tried too many of their items, but I've liked everything I've tried. They are a little more expensive than some other restaurants serving similar items, but the quality and atmosphere is much better. more
