This Limo service is neither a limo or any kind of service NEVER even consider this problem company. The day before our trip they informed us that pickup time was FIVE hours prior to flight time, so we spent four hrs. sitting at phila airport because they wanted to utilize the 12 passenger (van) to their advantage picking up passengers till the van was full. Note that the 12 passenger van (LIMO) had no shocks and rode like a stagecoach on a rocky road.\r \r The return trip was no better. We waited over one hour after calling for pickup and was told that I-95 traffic was the problem. It turned out that they had us wait until another flight arrived with customers going to the same area. \r No traffic delays on I-95 in either direction was noticed on our way home. \r Unless you are into abuse avoid this company at all costs. Major waste of time and money.\r \r more

DO NOT USE DAVE'S EVER!!!! \r The trip from Philadelphia to JFK was un eventful. The driver was friendly and courteous. No Problem. After arriving on a 6 hr flight from Europe we called and the same driver picked us up in 45 minutes. +++. BUT, Then as we were getting on the Verrazano Bridge the transmission failed. We moved about 5 mph accross the bridge. Then there was a bang and it was okay. Next stop, Newark. Listening to the driver chat to dispatch and other drivers we hear that the driver reported transmission on this Van and it was never fixed. the Owner told the driver to just shut it off for a few minutes and it should be fine. Sounds right , right? The problem got worse!\r \r In order to move on the turnpike the driver had to keep trans in 2nd gear to go 20 mph. we finally pulled into rest area and had to wait over 1:45 minutes for next shuttle. we were packed in. The new driver drove like a maniac. Then we were then told we would be split up in Trevose, PA. After we arrived we had to wait again. The banter between the driver and the driver we waiting for was appalling, The driver who we were waiting for says who cares what customers want they will just have to take what we give them. Our driver told the other driver we heard that and the banter stopped Finally 6 1/2 hours later we arrived home, naturally last.\r \r DO NOT USE THEM! more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I am completely appalled at the blunt and inexcusably rude reply that I received to my request for a quote on a car service. Your company forces me to give you my personal and event information in order to request a quote from you online and unprofessional answer I received....""""four people will not fit in a town car""""\r \r Seriously? No, ""I apologize but our town cars do not provide suitable transport for 4 passengers"" \r What? No other recommendations? Do you only have the one car?\r What kind of town (clown) car do you use? A 2-seater convertible? \r \r Having been in customer service both as a rep and supervisor for over 30 years, your manager should be embarrassed and the customer service rep in charge of your website- based quote system that replies to potential customers should be fired. Do not use this car service! They are the worst! Car service never arrived at airport. When they were called a second time, dispatcher said the driver had not even left yet. I received terrible customer service when I tried to resolve the issue. more

We emailed Dave's to get a quote for door to door service to JFK, they replied that the fee for a family of four was 420.00. The day before the trip we call to confirm the time of pick up and the manager tells us that if we want to be picked up at our house that will be an extra 50.00 each way or I can drive to the local holiday inn and they will pick me up there and I could leave my car there for free. I called the Holiday Inn to make sure that I could park there, and was assured that I could for 5.00 per day and that Dave did not have any agreement in place. I felt that a bait and switch was going on and cancelled the reservation. After reading the reviews here and my own experience its hard to believe that they are still in business. more

Do not use this service. I ordered a ride home from JFK international to Philadelphia. My flight landed at 11:00 AM. They told me a van was leaving at 1:00 PM. The van didn't leave until 3:30 PM. I didn't get home until 7:00 PM that day. Not only that, but the driver was picking up random people and taking them places while the van was full. Almost as though he was a taxi driver. A hackman! This is a terrible service. DO NOT USE THEM. more

Dave's Worst Limousine Services 5/21/2012

We were picked up from JFK by Rahim, the driver on 10 may. We were supposed to go to Double Tree Hilton at King of Prussia (KOP) but he dropped us at Double Tree suites at Plymouth intersection ! I booked and prepaid over phone USD 180 and also mailed them my destination and reconfirmed our destination over phone. The driver was rude and left us at the wrong place at 0130am and left saying he won't go to KOP. Repeated phone calls to Dave's was not of any help. We took a taxi to go to our actual hotel at KOP after one hour. I would not recommend anyone to use their services. If you need to book don't pay in advance for Dave's Worst services... more

I scheduled a shuttle service for my mom from JFK to Willow Grove, PA. My credit card was put through and I called the morning before her arrival to confirm. I was now being transferred from one clown to another on the phone and finally a JERK got on the phone and told me that no-one can pick up my mom from the airport..I asked him why nobody called me and he had the nerve to tell me that ""somebody probably called and I missed the call""....What an a**hole...I told him that their service sucks and I hung up on him! more

Excruciating rip-off 1/14/2012

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Rode with these clowns from Philly to Newark. The driver on the way up was a jerk, but got us there on time. On the return trip from Newark, the 4:00 van never showed...nor did the 6:00.  Van finally pulls up at 7:40. On the way home, the driver took the most convoluted route and ended up dropping us last (the intelligent, direct route would have had us dropped 3 stops earlier). Driver also took a ""shortcut"" tip from the front-seat rider who ended up not knowing what he was talking about, causing us to miss an exit and have to backtrack (actually maybe that rider was just smart, because he got dropped off sooner). Was after 10:30 pm when we finally got through our door in Philadelphia, after waiting in the airport since before 4:00 pm -- the flight from Germany was shorter than our trip home from the Newark airport.  The ""customer service"" people from Dave's were an absolute nightmare over the phone from start to finish, and did nothing to make the situation right. Lucky for them, a travel companion paid for the transport on her credit card -- had it been me paying, I'd have had the cc company disute payment for the return trip. Avoid these amateurs at all costs!!!! more

Then they refused to compensate for the more than thousand dollars it took to book a new flight to make up for the one I missed.\r \r We are seeking legal advice.\r \r They have been unhelpful, unapologetic and downright rude.\r \r These people are trash and don't care about customers at all.\r \r I urge you to heed the advice on this site, and take a train!\r \r Happy travels! more

I was picked up on 8/31/11 at 12:00 pm to go to Newark NJ airport. It was about 90F outside, and the bus had no air conditioning. By the time the last passenger was picked up, for some people on the bus it was getting pretty close to their flight time. At that point the driver said that we would have a 15 min pit stop. One of the passengers said that may be we could make it shorter since she was afraid to miss her flight.The driver, staring her down, said,"I'm going to make a stop whether you want it or not. It is not about you, it is about everybody". It was not clear who EVERYBODY was since we all were too stunned to open our mouths.\r So, we made a stop at the fuel plaza; it lasted 25 min instead of promised 15. For 20 out of those 25 minutes we all could observe our driver having a personal conversation with a female plaza employee (I think it is safe to assume the conversation was personal, since the episode had no clear bearing to the very simple business of driving people).\r Af more

Late driver drove like a maniac 9/13/2011

After having a sucky experience wit Tropiano Transportation Services, we tried Dave's despite reading rather poor reviews here. The customoer service was ok, a bit curt but not rude. The driver was scheduled to arrive at 5PM to take my family of seven to JFK for an international flight. HE called around 5:25 saying he was on his way. He got there around 5:40. HE then asked us how to get to the turnpike! Ok, so I get it that they are out of NE Philly. Still, isn't it their job to learn their area? The driver should have known my area in Montgomery County. It was pouring down rain and we had a lot of luggage. We finally got on the road and once on the highway, the driver drove like hell. I was praying we'd arrive safely. He switched lanes sometimes without a turn signal. We were going 80MPH at one point in pouring rain! He was a nice guy, but I did not appreciate his lateness. If he had arrived on time, there would have been no need to drive like a bat out of hell. SO far we are 0 for 2 in finding a good limo service in the Philly area. more

Forgot to pick up a passanger from JFK! Overcharged! 8/22/2011

Does anybody know a good shuttle company for the trip JFK to Phila? My Mom used the Dave?s Best?. We were misquoted the price, all people except for Tony were rude and slow, they managed to screw up the address every time I called they could not find the reservation, the car for the first pick up was two hours late (going to the JFK), driver overcharged my mother and did not give her a receipt, and the best for the last, they FORGOT to pick my mother up on her return! Manager was afraid to talk to me, sent Tony. I was nice and polite, I wonted to make a point and ask for the partial refund (do not forget we were overcharged too) but as you can guess they do not do refunds. Sadly a very poor service. The way they treat customers I guess they do not need us. more

DO NOT USE! Under no circumstances should you use this service!! I was picked up at 4pm at the airport and had a business dinner I was running at 6pm in Langhorne. We had 1 stop before me, got going, then dispatched to pick up someone else at the train station. We drove around what felt like all of Philly and I was dropped off by 7pm - 3 HOURS IN THE VAN! I was an hour late to my dinner and spent more time in the van than in the air. I complained to the manager who never apologized and merely argued with me about the definition of ride sharing. Don't do it, not worth it, no value!! more

Rudest Customer Services 6/14/2011

I spoke with a Joan both times I called and I have to say she was the most miserable person I've ever spoke to. She short, condesending, and rude. I am scheduled to use them tomorrow and if i have any luck am I going to see if I can find another company. more
