Dardenne Presbyterian Church

I find the members dismissing the sad deeds executed by this churches elders to be pitiful and disgraceful. I am one of the ""disgruntled former members"" and was a practicing member. I attended weekly and involved my wife and daughters. That was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I brought my then wife to find Jesus here. She found hyprocrisy there and embraced it. She learned to judge and not tolerate human flaws. This led to our divorce. Once I left this church I ran into some of the churches elders who treated me like a leper. Not the way Jesus treated lepers.... the way this church deals with ex members such as I. Yes I am very bitter.... I will be happy to explain my story to anyone who is interested. This Church drove me from Jesus and to demean other members who have a different opinion is right up this churches alley. more

The negative comments placed here are dated and co-inside with the difficult times Dardenne Presbyterian experienced. They are written by disgruntled members or attendees, or hear say repeaters. Yes we had our dark days, which took place in 2007-2009. However, Our God gave to each of us his Grace through his Son Jesus Christ, In that Grace was the command to Love One Another. For members who stayed through the difficult times, seeking forgiveness and healing through prayer and Bible study has been our calling. True to his Word, our Lord is blessing Dardenne Presbyterian with healing. God does not dwell in a building, temple, church, congregation, member or pastor, He lives in your heart. As He is nurturing Dardenne Presbyterian hearts, I think you will find He will nurture yours too. We are steeped in, and practice, ""Traditional"" styles of worship but offer a Contemporary Service that you may enjoy as well. We have recently had a membership surge, which includes many South Korean families. more

We visited with some friends who once attended and the church is still depressing. The interim tries but there is no spirit. The heavy programs have actually turned to volunteers and quality is lacking. Lack of vision by the session and ""their leaders"" has let this once happy place down a slope of dismay. They are focusing on distant missionary efforts while neglecting the very ones in their own backyard. Would not recommend this church. Pros: Very few Cons: very cold more

I'm a member of this church and I'm happy here. It has Christian Education for all ages including a very good preschool and it supports and participates in missions locally and all over the world. Its easy to be actively involved, the problem is choosing what to do. This site has the web address wrong, replace dardennepresbyterian with dpc4u and you've got it. This church just fired two ministers! Why is not as important as what effect it has had on the congregation, that is diminshing regularly. The political atmosphere combined with the gossip of many has taken its toll. There is no one left to make decisions. Very sad, not a very happy place to be right now. Not really sure it will ever be the joyful place it was over the past couple of decades. As for me and mine, we are moving on.
