Prideless Management 7/8/2009

The wine we ordred had turned and apparently the menu is just a good idea, but not necessarily the way your food will be prepared. Our waiter apologized by saying chef was ""lazy"". management said they ""hoped we'd come back"". Rest assured we won't. Cons: Disappointing Food, Experience more

A GREAT, TRUE PUB EXPERIENCE! 4/17/2009

This is my favorite new place. If you like being in a real pub, you will love Darcy's Bistro. Good Grog, good eats, good happy hour, outdoor patio, convenient location, what more could you want? Pros: Great Chefs! more

Fun Place with decent food 1/25/2009

This is a solid pub. Not usually too crowded. Decent food. Decent drink prices, great selection of spirits. Good specials. Summer is really fun when they open front doors and allow for seating on the patio. Can get a little noisy, which doesn't make sense cause it's not really that big of a place. Pros: Awesome Irish Breakfast and Sheperds Pie Cons: I wish they would get rid of the family area, add more tvs and make it more of a tavern with irish food. more

got ripped off!!! 1/11/2009

left a 20% cash tip and was also charged a tip on my card of 25-30% after looking at my card statement. i need to follow up with the others in my party if their cards were charged additional too. DO NOT GO HERE - KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS more

Formerly great place that went downhill 10/3/2008

Darcy's used to be a great pub with and awesome happy hour. New management just recently made it all go downhill: The price for the ever so famous Tappas burgers has gone up by 50% and additionally has turned the full size burgers into tiny White-Castle style sliders. To make matters worse, the good beers such as Murphy's are no longer happy hour eligible. To top it all off, their happy hour ends actually at 5:45 and not at 6:00 as posted and advertised, since they intentionally set their clock ahead. When I asked the server about this I was told it has to do with the economy. No bailout for Darcy's! Pros: The atmosphere is still good Cons: poor value, deceiving practices more

Great food, Fun atmosphere, really horrible service and most of these reviews, they wrote themselves. 1/4/2008

First, let me say that I would have given three stars except for the fact that two of the reviews here were so obviously written by interested parties that it is sad. No real customers use language like, ""I often have business meetings over lunch at Darcy's and never wonder if everyone will be pleased."" Or how about ""Glenn and Paul behind the bar, always remembering the names of their customers, always quick with a good joke, these guys."" People just don't talk that way, except in commercials. It gets even more suspicious when you look at the other restaurants that these guys have reviewed. One has only reviewed another Ishish pub and he bashed it. The other hasn't reviewed anything else. WHAT A GIVEAWAY! (For the record, I haven't reviewed anything else on this cite either but became a member just to point out the fraud)\r \r Now the reason that I only gave them three stars to begin with is the exact same reason that another person only gave then one star, the service, It really was terrible. The waiter forgot about us and spent most of his time at the bar chatting it up with some girls. We had to signal him twice and once, when we were ready for another round, I actually had to go and find him. We did enjoy our food though. The mac and cheese was particulalry interesting. And the atmosphere was fun, if not completely pub like. But for their terrible service and obvious attempts to write thier own reviews which lacks all integrity and is not a far cry from LYING, it is a nice place. Pros: Good food and atmosphere, Beer is Beer. Cons: Terrible Service and I find any restaurant that writes thier own reviews, suspect more

A nice Irish pub, good beers and solid food 12/23/2006

We have 2 kids (8/5) and like take them, the kids always eat well and Saturday night kids eat free. They have nice Guinness and a good menu of food. Their burgers and salads are very solid.\r \r Nice atmosphere for a drink or a drink and a bite, and with the kids, a good bargain!\r \r The service is reliable as well. Pros: guinness on tap, good food, kids eat free on weekends more

Great food and fun atmosphere - great Happy Hour place, too! 11/5/2006

I love this place! The food is always delicious and visually appealing. I often have business meetings over lunch at Darcy's and never wonder if everyone will be pleased. I have never had a problem asking - and receiving - special requests on food items. The staff really makes you feel that local, home-town feel - like you can walk in and almost hear them yell 'Norm!'. \r I highly recommend Darcy's - for lunch, dinner and happy hour - check out their late night drink and menu specials. Pros: Great food and Irish Pub ambiance. Cons: Sometimes hard to find a place to park since Darcy's is filled with folks. more

horrible service 8/9/2006

By far some of the worst service I have ever encountered. From the beginning our waitress was not good. She started by taking a long time to bring our drinks. OK, fair enough after all I did order a guiness. Wait it gets much worse. Then I asked for a menu and she promptly hands me the drink menu which is already on the tableand walks off before I have a chance to say dinner menu. :( The fact that I asked for a menu should of been a que that obviously it was for a dinner menu, come on! Next she continue to take forever despite non guiness orders and is about as disinterested as can be.\r \r So, I let the manager know that our waitress is MIA. Really, not much better. It gets worse until we finally decide to give up. Instead of unwinding after work we all get wound up.\r \r The food is pretty good and the beer is great but the service is some of the worst I have ever had the displeasure to endure. Pros: location, food, beer Cons: SERVICE :( bad, very, very bad more

Darcy's! What a find! 1/20/2003

This is what I think of when the term ""friendly confines of a local pub"". Glenn and Paul behind the bar, always remembering the names of their customers, always quick with a good joke, these guys, along with Dave, the bar manager, make it a welcome respite after a busy day at work. Well done, Darcy's! Oh yes, and don't miss the tapas menu OR the dinner menu! Both are fantastic! Pros: Delicious, Food, Menu Cons: parking, n/a, n/a more

Darcy's with music! 10/10/2002

I was in Darcy's again on October 5, and they have now added traditional Irish music in the 'pub style' as found in Ireland! After asking the barman about the music, we were told that the traditional ""session"" music will be heard on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. When we were there on Oct. 5, there were at least 8 musicians playing some great music that really made for a great atmosphere. Pros: Great music!, Service with a smile!, Great value Cons: n/a, n/a, n/a more

Very Nice 9/17/2002

I've been to Darcy's about ten times since it opened and I've had outstanding service, great food, and well served beer each time. Prices are a little higher than some other pubs in the area but it's worth it. The only thing I really don't like about the atmosphere is that some of the indoor tables are too close together and it takes away the intimacy. Pros: Good Beer Taps, Quickly served food, Friendly staff Cons: parking sometimes, little expensive, tables are too close more
