We found an ad in a coupon book and tried Daniel Boone's on a whim. I had the "all you can eat catfish" special and my wife tried a chicken fried steak. I ate two pieces of fish...

I recommend 12/7/2010

We have eaten at Daniel Boone's in Tyler many times and were only disappointed once. Try the chicken finger dinner - very tasty. Ask them to double drop your fries if you like them a little more crisp. more

Once was enough 6/16/2009

We found an ad in a coupon book and tried Daniel Boone's on a whim. I had the "all you can eat catfish" special and my wife tried a chicken fried steak. I ate two pieces of fish, hid the third under the pile of limp greasy fries and waved off the offer of more. The instant mashed potatoes on my wife's plate brought back childhood memories of the original TV dinners. With the discount coupon, dinner only cost 25 cents so it's hard to say we didn't get a bargain. We tipped the friendly waitress $10 just for fun. Perhaps the burgers are good but we won't be back to find out. more

It's good ol greasy country food 3/1/2007

I've only been here once, but it was pretty good - got a greasy cheeseburger and fries. Nothing really to write home about, but kids do eat free there on Saturdays, which is a great deal. And you get free beans and ice cream with your order, and come on - who can pass up Blue Bell ice cream? It was a nice change of pace from the places I normally visit. more

Do Not Patronize This place! 2/10/2007

After ordering dinner on a recent night, the waitress came over after one full hour and laughingly told us that she "forgot to place our order". After advising the owner, Daniel Boone, of the waitress's gross oversight, he became beligerent and physically assaulted me and my husband, using profanity and physical force....he was totally out of control. The police were called and an assault charge is forthcoming. We would advise everyone to stay away from this establishment. more

Great Food 10/22/2005

Daniel Boone's Bean and Burger has some of the best food in Tyler. Kids just love the the beans you can eat while you are waiting for your food. They also love the free blue bell ice cream you can have. They have great burger or if you are looking for some good home cooked food they have that too. They have some cute country decor in the restaurant. more

A Great Place to Eat 10/17/2005

Whether your looking for a juicy burger or a full homecooked meal, Daniel Boone is the place to go. When you enter the restaraunt you will be welcomed with a friendly staff and old fashined decor. On Fridays its all you can eat catfish, and on Saturdays kids eat free from 11-5 p.m. Not only do you get a full meal, you also can help yourself to the all you can eat bean and chili bar with each purchase. If you still have room after eating the beans and your meal, you can help yourself to the Blue Bell Ice Cream bar. Its always an exciting trip for the kids! Your whole family will enjoy a visit to Daniel Boone Bean and Burger. more

Fun place for the kids 8/2/2005

My kids love Daniel Boone's Bean and Burger. They love the beans you get to eat while waiting on your food. The burgers are really tasty and then to top it off you get to dip out your own Blue Bell ice cream! On Monday and Tuesday nights after 5:00 kids eat free! Everything we have tried here has been good. more
