My husband and I took my children to the Comedy Club in 2009. They had never been to a comedy club and had a BLAST! Service was very good and the comedians kept me laughing the ...

We bought tickets from a man in Times Square for $20.00 each. He told us that with this deal we would NOT have to buy any drinks, and that it would be fine for the 13 year old ....

BEWARE - particularly tourists!!! 5/19/2014

BEWARE - they are running a scam there: the coat woman sees a large group of people and she somehow gives one coat ticket less than the number of people in the group, then the most expensive coat evaporates in thin air, and when you start asking about the coat location, they have a crew ready to surround you to hide from the club going crowd and to escort you outside, making sure you don't make sounds. This happened a while ago, when i was a new immigrant with other really nice people from new jersey (now that i am a real new yorker, this would never work for them, but back then this is what the club manager did to us). And - thank God for internet so that others can read it. Again - BEWARE, people!!! more

Good times, funny comics 8/3/2005

I liked this comedy club because the night I went there were a couple of very hilarious comics. The others weren't that great, but that is to be expected at any comedy club. The atmosphere is fun and close. One complaint I had was that the staff should have gotten rid of a heckler but didn't and it ruined one of the comic's sets completely. more

  • The Scene
Co-founded by legendary comic Rodney Dangerfield (hence the name), this stand-up room has been in business at the same location since 1969--a rare feat for a comedy venue. Though you won't see the club's namesake around very often, Dangerfield's rare policy of no drink/food minimum makes this comedy destination one of your better bets in terms of yuks for your bucks.

    The Draw
The weekly bill of performers always features a national headliner as seen on "The Late Show with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show," some Comedy Central progam or even one of Dangerfield's own HBO specials (which incidentally are taped at the club). But if your looking for real laughs, don't just show up for the recognizable names. The real talent here is found in house regulars like Nancy Redman, Richie Byrne and Billy Burr.
