I have been eating at Dandgure's for several years. Over the last few months the prices have gone up and the once excellent quality has gone down. I got the meatloaf several weeks ago and it tasted as if they has substitued veggie protein for meat (and I cook with veggie protein sometimes and know the flavor). It was awful. I used to get the salisbury steak and it began tasting old instead of fresh. The baked fish I tried to get the last time was about the size of a dollar bill folded in half, dried out and they wanted $6 for that with a few green beans on the side (which the green beans have been more and more like just a can of Allen's bean warmed up)............I am disappointed in the quality ........I know prices have gone up but don't sacrifice the quality of the food at the same time and don't try to gip the customers by serving bite sized portions and charging full price. I feed my cats more than that last piece of fish........AND, Captain D's has it with lots more flavor and side items for way less money...............Once a favorite place for a bunch of us for lunch, we are all disappointed and will not go back for a long, long time.................and then it will be to see if things have improved........the people are nice and it is such a disappointment that they have let themselves go down so much...........the deserts are still good and you can't go wrong with pickled okra or canned beets but for what you have to pay Dand's you better just get all the pickled okra and deserts and be satisfied with that.............forget the rest.
Pros: The deserts are still good
Cons: Bad meats, small portions of dried out fish; too much grease; too much salt; prices too high for what you get
