Great Hotel 3/10/2008

This is a beautiful hotel as well as a great golf course. It is actually a little less than what you would expect to pay for this nice of a hotel. These guys have catered several events I have attended and they have very large accommodations as well as something for a small meeting. The restaurant is very good as well. more

Comfy bed! 2/5/2008

My husband and I spent a night at the Doral Tesoro after we got married last summer. We only wished we had planned on staying longer! The hotel is gorgeous and it's conveniently located just north of Fort Worth. The property also includes a gorgeous golf course. \r The staff was so friendly and accomodating. The room was amazing! We had a king sized bed with plush pillows and fluffy down comforter. \r For dinner and breakfast, we ate in the cafe. The food was so delicious! After dinner, we had drinks out on the patio and since the area is secluded, we were able to see the gorgeous stars that night. \r We loved the Doral Tesoro so much that we plan on going back for our anniversary this year! more

The Redesign Makes Sense 6/1/2005

When this one opened at Creeks at Beechwood, its designer came back to town and admitted it was too hard. And when Craig Norman says it's hard . . . Jay Morrish gets credit for the redesign. He flipped the nines (No. 1 and 2 aren't the easiest starting holes in the world but imagine what it was like when No. 10 and 11 were the openers) and also redid No. 14 and 15 (the old Nos. 5 and 6). If you played the original course, you appreciate his work. If you didn't I can't describe what a goofy hole the old fifth was. Suffice to say that a local pro once took a 12 there . . . so for the rest of us it was just too much. Lots of chances for birdies from all tee boxes now. more
