Sad service and cold food 9/29/2008

My girlfriend and I went on a week night to try another Gaslamp restaurant that we might recommend to our out of town visitors. The restaurant was probably 1/4 full. We had to wait for 15 minutes for a table. We barely saw our server, our food was served cold and was barely editable. As a friend of mine once stated, "it might not be very good but at least it took a LOOOOONG time. In short, this is not one of the restaurants we will be recommending to anyone. Pros: NONE! Cons: Service, food quality, ambience, promptness more

Steak with a flare... 10/26/2006

I love Dakota's! This restaurant is in a great location, is beautiful inside, and has great food! When you walk in the friendly chefs greet you from behind flaming pots and great smelling sauces as you walk right past the cooking action. You can either go upstairs to the bar for a drink or sit downstairs in the very comfortable dining room. The skirt steak is my fav, it has a southwestern flare that is topped off with a grilled scallion, and the creme brulee trio is a heavenly dessert. Try it! Pros: unique restaurant layout is fun and interesting, great food! and a good bar more
