what a joke the food was so small my mom 80 was still hungry i hade sea bass the size of a post it for 27.00 the only good deal was ddb band and beer was ok price more

I have been to the Dakota several times, and I think their food is great. They have a fabulous bleu cheese burger--probably one of the best I've ever had. They also have great steak and appetizers. Their service, however, leaves something to be desired. They don't understand that they're now in the middle of a business district, and buisiness lunches are not always leisurely. There have been two times where my lunch has taken over an hour and a half! Most of the time it's been from servers who won't bring my credit card slip back in a quick manner, other times the food has simply been very, very slow to be delivered to the table. My advice: if you're looking for a slow lunch or dinner, The Dakota is great. If you're looking for faster-paced business lunch, go to The Local or The Newsroom--they know how to hurry! more

The Dakota Bar and Grill is the best Jazz Club in Minneapolis! The move from Bandana Square was brilliant! It's new location on 10th and Nicollet has proved to be very successful. The ambiance is great; dark, and sexy! The acoustics are perfect! It's a great place to go for a Romantic dinner in the large dining room , or to take in the cool bar lounge by the stage to take in the superb music! The National Jazz acts are very consistent, and very affordable. Local Jazz Artists are the best bet! The food continues to be excellent, and there's always good people watching.
