Great products but better people 5/29/2009

Great local bike shop, awesome prices and really cool people. Make sure you ask for Allen because he knows what he is talking about when you need help! Just give them a shot and you will want to come back!! They are the #1 bike shop for a reason. more

Wow!! Customer service is not a thing of the past;) 2/22/2009

We have visited, from what we know, all the bike shops in San Antonio. We immediately liked the atmosphere at Cycle Logic. Not only do they know what they are doing but they are excited that you are into the sport!! They are not just trying to make a sale. They truly try to match you with the bike best suited for your riding style. We were treated like VIP before we had even made our first purchase. Sure you could buy from a big fancy shop but expect to be treated like a number & not a customer. As for us & our friends we will only shop at Cycle Logic (if they don't have what you need ask Allen & he will get for you)!! more

Great Experience 2/21/2009

My wife and I are novices in the road bike arena and have been interested in purchasing some entry level road bikes. We traversed San Antonio searching for road bikes. We ventured into Cycle Logic and Allen was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. What we liked about Allen was that he did not pressure us to sell us a bike. Also, he expressed genuine concern and a follow-up plan regarding our use and enjoyment of our new road bikes. He was extremely helpful and knowledgable about our purchase. It was a great experience. Pros: Knowledge about the puchase. Ample parking. Friendly environment. Cons: Minimal space in store. more

Where Pro's of Pro's in cycling go to for shop supplies and bicycle needs... 2/3/2009

When you are a pro cyclist, you want a shop that you can trust, and a shop mechanic that you can trust with your bike. This is the shop that I trust for all my cycling related needs. Allen is the Shop owner and of course the head mechanic. When I first got into cycling, Cycle Logic was the first shop I went to, and the last. From the first day I walked in, the staff there have been great, they have educated me in my buying decsions, and Allen has helped in giving me great advice in which parts to buy or upgrade on my bike. I have actually bought two bikes from cycle logic. One was a Caloi road alumin frame bike with Shimano RSX shifter and brake levers, the second is a Solis all carbon frame with Shimano 105. My caloi has now become my training bike, and as result of Allen's advice, I have been able to upgrade my bike to what I need as I train for several state and national championship races in Texas and California area. If you are a amatuer cyclist, or someone who is just looking to buy a bike to get around town, Cycle logic is the place to go. As the person in the previous post stated, they do help in your making the right buying decision. Most importantly, you are never pressured to buy a bike, unlike a few other bike shops I have been to in the San Antonio area. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone who is insterested in buying a bike. more

Attentative to my cycling needs, Great staff, Awesome Customer Service, The Bike shop that will Help you in making the Best Buying Decision!!!! 2/3/2009

-This shop is one of the Best Bikes shops I have come across. I am from the Boulder area of Colorado and have bought two bikes from this store. Here in boulder, there are bike shops nearly on every coner and many people riding their bikes. When I was in San Antonio visiting family, I found cycle logic on the web and went to the store and looked at all the bikes he had to offer. Who ever is that JWANGBMW is incorrect in stating that someone should take their business elsewhere. For when I bought my bikes from cycle logic, I was given exceptional service from the staff at cycle logic, by answering my questions, hearing my concerns, and meeting the needs I was looking for in a professional way. Also after buying my bikes from cycle logic, they gave me a manual that had the year, make, and model of the bike including the who the manufacture was. So I think that JWANGBMW needs to check his manual he recieved to get his head on straight especially when he does not want to listen to the owner of the store about not selling him a 2008 bike. Beside he like everyone else who buys a bike from cycle logic, they have to sign an owners agreement, and I believe that JWANGBMW need to check his owners agreement that he signed. Pros: Exceptional Service, Great staff, Excellent Prices, Well informed, Will Help you in making the Right buying decision about a bike, Awesome Cycling Team.... Cons: N/A more

Go Get Bedazzled! 2/3/2009

I bought my first "real" cyclocross bike from Cyclelogic. Allen was amazing! I am new to biking and had a lot of silly questions. Allen never made me feel as though I was wasting his time. He spent a good 30 min just teaching me how to clip in and out of my new bike. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS STORE!! Allen has a passion for riding, and wants to share that with others. I never felt like he was out to make a sale, only to get me on the road COMFORTABLY! I will be back... to get the PINK MOUNTAIN BIKE!! Pros: knowledge, willingness to teach. Cons: Allen... you need more PINK girls jerseys! :0) more

Best bike service in SA 1/30/2009

This is actually my first post for a business in San Antonio. Cycle Logic is the best bike shop in this city. I have purchased bikes there at great prices and I have had at least three different bikes serviced by Allen and his staff. They are efficient, knowledgeable, and extremely fair priced. The staff at Cycle Logic has always been considerate and do everything they can to get me back on my bike as soon as possibel. My family has 2 mountain bikes, 2 road bikes, a tandem, and a riding around bike, we would not take our bikes anywhere else. Period. more

Great service!!!!! 1/29/2009

I work in Iraq as a medic so I don't get too much time to ride. When I have broken something on my bike Allen has been more than happy to get it fixed as soon as he can so I can go out and enjoy the little time that I do have riding. He provides excellent service and I enjoy my time when I am in his store. I will continue to do business with CycleLogic while I live in San Antonio. I trust that he and the staff there will do an excellent job in answering any question that I have and fix my bike correctly. more

More than a bike shop!!!!! it is a place where you learn about bikes aand treated as a friend 1/27/2009

Cycle logic is more than a bike shop because the owners Kathy and Allen go out of their way to accomodate the customer, first by informing and educating them, later by providing excellent service and Pros: you are treated with respect and the sale is NOT the most important thing; buiding long term relatinships and educating customers are their priorities Cons: none more

ROAD MOUNTAIN BMX CX SS CRUSERS 1/24/2009

I purchased my first bike in2005. I purchased my 5th bike in 2008.all from Cycle Logic.Or should i say Allen Hodapp. I got to know Allen very well over these past years and mother in law Katherine( lovely lady ).this is and always has been a family business. A family which knows there industry very well and has great repor with there manufacturers. There for you benefit ( cost ).SERVICE ? With 5 bikes it doesn't matter what the problem is it is never more than 2 days.Something else about Allen is that he is a custom wheel builder. Not many of those in this area.He is way up on that. Let us not forget JOEY(mechanic) another benefit to this great shop. Pros: Withen a few miles from Mcalester Park Cons: none more

Great Bike Shop! 1/16/2009

Allen is a great guy with a good heart... He comes off a little "gruff" at first but I can say now that he has shown incredible restraint and patience with a beginner like me (customer service can be a VERY hard job and Allen does it well, considering what I am sure he deals with on a daily basis). He got my old Raleigh up to "road-ready" and even gave me a good deal on a full-suspension mountain bike. Now, I have no reason not to get on the trails, except my own laziness! Pros: Lots of selection and experienced staff Cons: None more

very glad i went here first 1/16/2009

this is the best place to go when you need anything to get on the road and ride. Allen was very helpful in getting me what i needed. i will never go to another place as long as i'm here in SA. Pros: this guy knows his bikes he not only knows bikes he lives bikes Cons: none more

A great independent bike shop 1/12/2009

After getting repeatedly negative advice from local bike stores, I turned to Allen's shop to get my old trek 560 rolling again. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and supportive of my budgetary limitations. In no time I was back on the road again. I particularly liked this shop owner's ability to give good mechanical advice and have the capability to personally sell a wide range of parts and components. Pros: An amazing amount of parts and the knowledge to help more

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN TOWN 12/31/2008

In response to the negative comment posted by jwangbmw guy, (John Wang) I would just like to say he is completely wrong about his claim that they sold him a 2008 bike. The bikes he was sold are in fact 2009 bikes. This has been explained to him several times by both the shop and the manufacture but John just won't listen to the bicycle industry proffesionals. I've known Allen for a while and I think he and everyone else at Cycle Logic provide some of the best customer service in the industry. Pros: Customer Service more

Best Bike Shop in town!!! 4/3/2008

When I bought my first bike (trying to improve my fitness) I couldn`t find any bike shop that would assembly my bike in less than a week. I found Cycle Logic and Allen did it in one day, since they are riders they knew how important was to me getting on my new toy!!! I became regular on the Cycle logic Sunday bike ride, I really got more into cycling because of them (and Lance :-) ),. Pros: Great Service, Great variety of Products, Highly knowledgeable staff Cons: They are not in Monterrey, Mexico!!!! :-) more

Fast First Rate Service 5/14/2006

I tok my bike in for service. I was impressed by their fast turn around time. I have an unusual bike with some unusual custom parts, and I was also really pleased that Allen was willing to work with me to get the drive chain working smoothly. Their staff is very pleasant, professional, and experienced. They are cyclists helping cyclists. I also consider the excellent deals they offer on used bikes a 'hidden jewel.' more

Excellent experience! Highly recommended. 3/6/2006

I purchashed the perfect bike for my 6-y/o daughter at CL My daughter absolutely did not want trainingwheels. She fell in love with the 2-wheel Torker flower bike so I purchased it. Allan adjsted the bike to my daughter's height. When we got home my daughter tried to ride her bike but couldn't. Discouraged, she aggreed to go back to CL and buy training wheels. Alan suggested lowering the seat so my daughter could drag her feet a little as she learned to balance the bike. He readjusred the bike and to my amazement, he was right. Like magic my daughter was riding her bike all by herself without trainingwheels. My daughter calls it a "magic bike." We will certainly return to CL. The staff is very friendly and eager to please. They give lots of discounts on their items and make shopping a wondefrul experience. Pros: Customer Service, Discounts, Quality Products Cons: Closed Sundays more
