I am writing this letter as a formal complaint, and a demand that Curves of Carolina Forest repay my banking account for monies erroneously removed from my banking account, after notifying that establishment that I was ending my membership there. That notification was made in October of 2008, at which time Curves agreed to stop the automatic debits from my checking account. Well, that never happened. They continued to debit my account, and I was forced to send a certified letter to their establishment, requesting a refund. Four payments were deducted without my approval, and the owner of the business never responded to messages or correspondence. In addition, I have driven to their site several times, and spoke with representatives who apologized to me for not being treated fairly and professionally. The debits stopped for a few months, and then out of nowhere, another debit to my checking account was made by Curves of Carolina Forest in May 2009. I would advise anyone interested in possibly obtaining a membership from that organization not to do so.
