Gross with a capitol ""G"" 8/16/2011

I ordered the chicken curry plate and let me tell you that is not CURRY. It was chicken soaked in what tasted like butter, there were no other flavors than butter. I got mine to go and when I got to my office it looked like butter looks after it has sat for a minute. The rice was soggy and the bread was decent for a cheap brand of pita bread, Very disapointed by the other reviews, it is definatly not crack on a plate unless you are addicted to butter, ughh excuse me gotta go!! more

Not Impressed At All 5/26/2011

I have eaten at Curry in a Hurry one time and refuse to go back. I paid $9.17 for a vegetable curry plate, no drink. The vegetables were obviously from a frozen veggie mix and the pita bread was the same kind that a grocery store would sell in the bread aisle. The food was spicy but it lacked any flavor to balance out the high heat. Also, the lady warmed up the bread with her bare hands and then handled our money, then went back to preparing the food. YUCK! more

Anyone got a recipe for their lamb curry? 2/3/2011

Very good, quick but great. I know they won't give up their lamb curry recipe and the internet is full of curry recipes, but I want something identical to make at home. An internet site recipes with sonething similar? more

Found love at Curry In A Hurry. 9/29/2010

I found love at Curry In A Hurry, when myself and other college students went there one late afternoon. We were all starving and the family greeted us sweetly and served our food very quickly to us. I got to talking to some of the college guys up there and met the man of my dreams for the first time at Curry In A Hurry. He was everything I had ever hoped for but thought that I could never find. We married one month later and will be celebrating our 9th year anniversary come January. I would say that the food is great and the price is right for what you get. It is way better then eating crappy fast food everyday. The ambiance there is very nice because it is a comfortable feeling even though the place is small. I go back usually at least once a month to eat there and don't even live near Salt Lake City. I would recommend the food to anyone that likes to try something a little different. The food is not too hot as well so anyone can enjoy it. Try it out and you won't regret it. I am thankful every day that I went to Curry In A Hurry on that one day in November. Thank you, Curry In A Hurry more

The curry tastes pretty good but the rice was poor quality and overcooked. The naan bread was not naan bread, it was more like warmed pita bread. Also the price was high for the lack of quality. Pros: Very fast service Cons: Fast food quality more

Great lunch spot. 6/18/2009

The flavor of the food is great. Tried it for the first time today as I happened by and will go back for sure. I'm tired of paying $7 bucks for nasty, drive through, greasy lunches. It was so nice to feel like I was eating ""real food"". Pros: good flavor, large portions, price is right. Cons: high carb (if you care) more

Good flavor of curry, but not a lot of meat. 10/15/2008

I have eaten at Curry in a Hurry now for 2 years, and I really enjoy the food and the flavor of the food. I usually get the food to go because I am a work-a-holic and like to eat back at the office. The last couple of times that I have gone there, i have ordered the chicken curry plate. I love the flavor and all, but lately it seems like the portions of chicken and sauce have gone down considerably. I don't know if its just me, or not, but it bugged me enough the last 2 times to write this review. I don't discourage you from eating there, just don't expect a lot of chicken in the rice sauce. Pros: always in and out fast Cons: not a real preety place to sit down and eat, and the portions are getiing smaller more

Delicious Lunch Spot. 12/4/2006

Curry in a Hurry has delish, quality food at a more than reasonable price. This is my favorite weekday lunch spot. It is very casual and the service is immpecible. The only thing I would change is I wished they served real naan instead of pita. But I love it and will always anyway... Pros: Delicious curry, quality chicken, serving size perfect Cons: Pita...not naan. more

Best fast food around! 6/6/2005

Fastfood Indian has never been so good! Whether you opt for the lamb combo, chicken curry combo, thandoori chicken plate or samosa appetizer there is something good for everyone for an incredible price. There's also tasty sides like naan bread, lamb curry and basmati rice. Other appetizers include popadom and thandoori wraps. Prices for combo plates around around $7 bucks and side orders a mere $3.25. Though the quality may not "first class" per say, the food will certainly put a smile on your face without putting a hole in your wallet. PROS: many plates to choose from, an excellent value CONS: more

best curry !!!! 5/10/2003

This place has the best food period. The family who runs the place are very nice and the prices are excellent. I highly recommend you try curry in a hurry! In a hurry!! Pros: inexpensive, great food, great service more

Yummy Curry! 10/15/2002

Curry in a Hurry is one of the best fast food places in Salt Lake. The lamb plate is delicious with mint sauce and at only $6.25 with naan bread it is quite a bargain. The family who runs the resturant is very friendly and the service is fast. They have great veggie combos, and the tandoori wrap is tasty. Get two, they are small but for a small price at $2.75. I have never met anyone who doesn't enjoy Curry in a Hurry, including several friends from India and Pakistan. Hurry down to state street to enjoy some yummy curry! Pros: fast and friendly, really tasty food, inexpensive more
