Cute Place 3/22/2006

I went to the Crystal ball room with a friend of mine for a concert they were having there. It was definitely crowded but the bouncy floors were really fun. Everything was super loud cause the room isn't very big but overall its a cute place to have little concerts at especially for those bands that are trying to get started. There is so much to do around the Crystal Ball room too so if you get there a little early before the concert you can just hang out down the road at any of the shops that are there. more

Amazing Setting to see live Music 1/7/2006

The Crystal is truly an amazing place to visit. The history alone should be enough to draw you in, as it once was a dance hall created almost 100 years ago. While its beginning held high fashion events, it also enjoyed groups like the Grateful Dead in the 60s. The building has been restored through incredible workmanship and art displays. The dance floor is the original floating ballroom floor that actually bounces when you dance on it. A nice stage on one end and a small balcony on the other, with the dance floor stretching in between, there is no better way to enjoy live music and dancing. They serve snacks and drinks during their events and have a small pub on the floor under the ballroom. It can be quite entertaining sitting in the pub listening to the floating floor up above during a large event. No matter how you take it in, one must experience the Crystal Ballroom at least once, if not many times, at some point in their lives. more

Love this place 10/5/2005

Not only is the Crystal Ballroom a historical location, but it is absolutely beautiful inside. It is one of my favorite venues to attend concerts at because of the large size and open floor. Dancing and jumping around is also fun at the Crystal because of the bouncing hardwood floors! Additionally, the security, from my experience anyway, have always been excellent. Attending a concert here is a great experience. more

a lot of fun 9/9/2005

This place is a venue for bands to play as well as a restruant and bar. In the concert area they have a floor that has springs in it. I think if for dancing. I makes you feel like its going to break espically during a load concert with lots of people jumping around. more

Overrated if you ask me 8/16/2005

The Crystal Ballroom is located across the street from Everyday Music in downtown. I've seen a couple concerts here, and it's ok, but I didn't think the ballroom was anything that special. The majority of people who go are annoying and rude, on the other hand there is no smoking on the lower floor. more

Bouncy Floor gets you movin' 8/15/2005

A fun, historic place to watch live music. The Crystal is located downtown right off of I-84 on Burnside in a bustling part of town. The selling point for the Crystal is the bouncy floor that really gets the crowd going. During those pinnacle moments of a concert the floor will really start hopping. Another good thing is the smoking section upstairs. No smoking is allowed on the Crystal floor. more
